JUVE WON'T SELL POGBA

Juventus have confirmed that they received an €80m offer from Barcelona for Paul Pogba, but insist they have no plans to get rid of the sought-after France international.

Senior officials from the two Champions League finalists met in Italy today to discuss the potential sale of the talented midfielder.

Barca tabled a bid for Pogba, but Juve’s managing director Beppe Marotta insists he does not intend to sell the Frenchman to the Catalans.

“The mood of the meeting was very good, terrific, but we did not reach an agreement for Pogba with Barca,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“We received an offer of €80m but I can say that Juve do not want to sell Pogba.”

So he's staying then for now

VIDAL AGREES REAL DEAL

Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has agreed a five-year deal with Real Madrid, reports Sport.

Vidal has been in the headlines in recent weeks due to his strong showings for Chile at the Copa America and speculation linking him with a move away from Juve.

New Real boss Rafa Benitez specifically requested the signing of Vidal and club president Florentino Perez has given him the go-ahead to recruit the Chile international.

According to the Spanish sports daily, Vidal’s agent Fernando Felicevich and Real’s director general Jose Angel Sanchez have held talks and a five-year contract has been agreed.

However, Real want to haggle with the Serie A champions over their €30m asking price and hope that the player´s recent drink-driving incident could work in their favour in that respect.

Vidal, who has also been linked with Arsenal, is believed to prefer a move to the Spanish capital.

^^^ Thats ridiculous when you consider what you getting. Might as well take Lambert from them for peanuts who will actually produce more.

Ballo to Stoke

He could actually work quite well in their setup - he's certain to get more gametime at least.

I still think that BR simply didn't know how to best utilise him (contrasted to how LvG was able to wring value out of Fellaini)

Edit: Doubt it will happen though - I don't see them stumping up that amount for him
