If anything Moyes is exactly the type of manager they need right now. Progress is the last thing they should be thinking about. Their defence is a horror show and with their up coming games, they could be firmly entrenched in the bottom 3 by the turn of the new year if stay as wide open at the back as they are. 6 month rescue plan is what they need, not dreaming about midweek European nights next season.

And to to be fair to Moyes, he showed some thinking outside the box when he kept West Ham up. He moved to a heavily defensive formation with 3 CBs while at the same time converted Marko Arnautovic in to an out-and-out striker which saw Arnautovic get the goals that kept them in the Premier League.
