So this is proper Everton that we’re seeing now?West Ham, Aston Villa and Newcastle have all gone down. Sunderland plowed the depths of League One. Nobody is too big to stay up.
If we are honest, it is a miracle that Everton haven't already gone down if you look back at how they were performing before Moyes rejuvenated them. Througout the 90s and in to the early 2000s they were a bottom of the table side, frequently involved in relegation scraps, including surviving on the last day on one occassion.
Between the inauguration of the Premier League and Moyes arrival (9 seasons), they only finished in the top-half once and were involved in relegation scraps in 6 of those seasons. We're seeing peak 90s Everton misery.
