With the official announcement out of the way, without further adieu, I give you the Nexus 10.

  • Dual-core Cortex A15 CPU
  • 2GB RAM
  • Quad-cor Mali T604 GPU
  • 5MP rear camera, 1.9MP front-facing camera
  • 9000 mAh battery
  • Front-facing stereo speakers
  • Micro USB
  • Micro HDMI
  • Two NFC chips (one in the front, one in back)
  • Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean)
  • Pogo pins

Price: $399 for the 16GB, and $499 for the 32GB variant.
Availability: 13 November in the U.S., U.K., Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Canada and Japan. No news yet as to when it'll land in SA.

It's available for pre-order here but it's obviously not for us South Africans.

Battery life gna suck with that resolution and only 2 power hungry A15 cores. Not to mention the horrid gpu which will never run anything north of words with friends.

The A15 architecture is more power efficient than other other. So they are far from "Power Hungry"
And the GPU will run circles around the iPad 3 GPU :).

I'm speaking from apples perspective a bit.
Apple knew that ARM created A15s with the ambitious plan to integrate them into notebooks, thus it took just a bit more drain on the battery than apples liking.

That's why they created the A6 soc, like comparing a caterham to a heavy v12 Ferrari. Tablets don't need that capability yet especially at anything 28nm and over!
 
Why would they not include 3G??? Damn it I want an iPad killing android tablet!!

Both the 16 and 32GB versions are still sold out everywhere according to http://www.n4checker.com/

It's still going to be a while until I get one of these I think. You could probably get one from another retailer but it'll have quite a bit price premium :(

Edit: Talking about Play store / US retailers here. Not interested in getting ripped off by SA
