Official Google Nexus 7 Thread

Switched on my n7 2012 32gb wifi/gsm after a few weeks.
Got OTA last night and upgraded this evening.

Went very smoothly.

Okay, so 5.0.2 is a crock of **** on the N7 2012 edition.

Lollipop made it unbearably slow, just as LukeKroon reported.

In the mean time, going into Settings -> Developer Options and changing all the animation scales to 0x seems to have sped things up a bit. Also, I turned on Force GPU rendering and turned off Google Now and location services as well as NFC.

I'll see this weekend if it has made a difference. Oh, another thing that I did was clear the Android cache.

A nice tutorial to do this exists here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/go...e-nexus-7-2012-2013-cache-partition-wipe.html

How is everyone else finding Lollipop?

I haven't spent that much time with it yet, but it's pretty slick on my Nexus 7 32GB 2012 3G/Wifi.

I have the exact same model, it seems it's a bit of a hit and miss when it comes to end user satisfaction :(

I hope Google can remedy this and bring out a patch to help us that have performance issues sooner rather than later

Factory reset?

Anyone have the issue where the screen tracking is less sensitive or stops? I have to tap the screen firmly all over to fix it. Sounds like there is a bit of a rattle at the bottom. Must be a bit loose ...

Once mine started shaking violently, as if it was receiving touch inputs from all over. I had to hold the power button in to reset it, then it stopped jittering. Only happened once, though. Warranty?
