Official Google Nexus 7 Thread

It happens quite frequently on my Nexus 7 that swiping between homescreens results in the screen just bouncing back. Sometimes this even happens 3 times consecutively. This is on the default stock launcher.

My phone is quite small with a 3.7" screen, so maybe I'm just used to making really short swipe-gestures. Does this happen to anyone else? It really is quite annoying.

I used to experience this in the gallery, but have either learnt to swipe properly or 4.1.2 fixed it.
 
I'm having problems with Skype video calling
I can see the other person but they can't see me
Video calling is enabled under Skype settings but when video calling the small box that normally shows my face is blank

Anyone uses Skype successfully on their nexus?
 
I think with stickmount it does
It will ask you how you want to use the device when u plug it in the 1st time

Will test
 
Unbelievable! Thanks for sharing! I'm posting this from my TF101 with my E1752 modem with that app. :D

Doest seem to be mounting the sd but that is no concern to me as I have 2 slots to work with on the TF101... Would be great if you guys could get it working on the Nexus 7 tho.
 
So it works with sdcard as well
It asks which app u would like the device to use. With just once or always options. Awesome

Yeah - uninstall skype - install camera launcher from the play store - restart - install skype

That worked for me

Hi All

My brother lives in Scotland and is visiting in a month. If he picks up the Nexus 7 for me that side, I'll only pay R2600 for the 16Gb model. I noticed a few people got it in a similar way.

But what happens if it breaks or is faulty? Will anyone in SA honor the warranty?

Asus might as they have world wide warranty.
Best would be to contact Asus SA.

hopefully the 32gb or 3g version will be out by then
although the 3g version is sort of a non issue for me now ;)

That's really cool 3G + MicroSD in one go. Out of interest did you need to use stickmount to mount the sd?
