Official Google Nexus 7 Thread

I got a folio case for my N7 from Expansys, but the wake/sleep function hardly ever works. The wake function seems ok most of the time, but the damn thing won't go to sleep when closing the lid.

I took the device out and in a certain position if I close the lid on the device it locks and wakes up, but in the cover doesn't work. :(

That's a shame. I bought a cheap folio case on bidorbuy, and the wake/sleep works perfectly. Maybe the magnet in your case is not properly aligned or not strong enough.

Yeah very frustrating. I am thinking of sending it back.
 
Is anyone here having problems with the screen flickering? It's very slight, I only really notice it when I'm in a dark room, but it's enough to be an irritation, particularly when reading something on a while background (i.e. most websites, facebook, etc).
 
Since updating to the latest 4.1.2 when swiping between screens I get a rubber like effect where the screen snaps back to the screen I am on and doesn't swipe over to the next screen. Very irritating. I saw someone else had this issue. Don't remember having this prior to the update.

Buying one of these for my gf for her birthday, a friend is a reseller for frontosa, I wonder if he can get it cheaper than webantics which is 3k for the 16GB

maybe I should wait for the 3G version?

they should be anouncing any new models tomorrow, so if there is going to be a 3g model we will find out tomorrow.
The 16gb is also probably going to be replaced by a 32gb at the same price.
A 10" nexus tab should also be anounced

Google cancelled the event in New York tomorrow. ;)
 
Have a 2 week old 16gig for sale if anybody wants one.
Price is R2600 with a local warranty.
