Im in a dilemma, To get a Nexus 32gig Wifi only or not to get a Nexus 32gig Wifi only.

Ok so basically i want to get a Nexus 7. Im not sure if i should get the 3g model or the wifi only model. Price difference is almost R1k.

Ill just be using it to read emails, news, watch some series (if the screen is big enough?), browse the interwebs, read a few books etc.

Ive got a wifi router at home and people say that bluetooth/wifi tethering from your phone is a R1k cheaper option than getting the 3g version. What do you guys think?

Also, the galaxy tab 2 is around the same price and has 3g and a rear camera (not really important) but i just really despise Samsungs touchWiz layout, i dunno why tho:whistle:

The nexus is big enough to watch series on.
Yes you shouldn't get the Galaxy Tab 2.
You have a wifi router at home and wifi tethering on your phone.
Tethering for me hasn't been all that good on Vodacom with the Galaxy Nexus.

Plus if you do Gameloft still has a sale as well as EA

I have spent way too much on games since I bought this tablet and also coz there's all these sales going on.
 
Anyone else having battery issues, I charge it fully then it sits at 100% even though I'm using it, then around 30 - 40% it dies, I'm guessing the battery reporting is off and it is actually at 0% when it dies. Not sure if its faulty hardware (get it exchanged) or a software problem (then an exchange may not be the answer). Seems others are having the same problem at XDA but no one really knows the problem or a fix for it.

Mine is hundreds in that area. The problem I do have is major drain in standby. I must just remember to switch it off when done and all is good.
I know I can analyse with BBS, but too lazy. Happy to just switch off when not in use.
 
Just got a Nexus 10 and trying to install flash support but it just wont work even after following online instructions.

Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks man, I just got my Nexus 32gig today (well technically yesterday now), loving it, hardly put it down today:D. I'm also tethering from my vodacom contract sim in my sgs2 and its not that great at all... It always drops and then u have to restart tethering on the phone and reconnect WiFi on the Nexus 7. Anyway around that? Thanks I'll def have a look at the cover and the Gameloft sale, need to get that and a good screen protector and then it should be quite complete.

Got a problem have like 62 games installed only.
Have you had a look at the Humble Android Bundle? That's where I get most of games. I payed like $10 (R80) for about nine games and the previous version had 2 or 3 games that weren't even launched on the Play Store and part of your contribution goes to charity.
Just also on a other note you can install games you bought on your GS2.
Your not alone I am also not able to put it down and I have mine for about 2 weeks.
Don't get a screen protector. Just rather get the cover as it has a flap that closes over the screen.
I haven't heard about a way around the tethering issue. Maybe check out XDA.

LOL yeah I've heard about the humble bundle. My fam is still here for the holidays which means I'm restricted to late night use only haha but will def start going crazy with the games and apps once they leave. Thanks for the list, it will def help my download spasm when it starts:D

I have connected a bluetooth keyboard that my girlfriend's brother uses on his Galaxy Tab 2 :wtf: what a piece of ... anyhow that keyboard was working and it looks similar to the one in the post. Though it seems legit. I was thinking of buying it but then again Santa Clause took all my money. Bastard
 
Anybody seen a decent dock for the Nexus 7? Saw one on a site but nothing yet in S.A

I'll throw in a screen protector for the first few purchases too...

OK cool man, thanks, I think I'll buy the case you advised above in the new year since this Santa Clause oke took all my cash away as well:(... The case is not too thick right?

Yep....
Seems like Asus are using the 4G to describe HSPA+ 21mbps
The actual manufacturer product model number from Asus is 1B32-4G
It is NOT 4G LTE. ..as far as I have tested the unit... but an LTE chip may be hidden in there somewhere... like the Nexus 4...;)
 
got my 32gig wifi N7 today..... and i LOVE it... my 1st android device tough :/ dont even know what apps to get...

Also go into the Google Play Store, check out recommended and you'll be shocked how one interesting thing leads to another and so on...

And of course Angry Birds! :) lol

Dunno if this will help with yours but I found using a different plug (was in a multiplug with other chargers now on its own plug) has solved my problems.

I have no idea just worked with the keyboard.
Got a nice case from my local Incredible Corruption.
279 ( a present) but its only a pouch with a little pocket for the USB cable. Still want a keyboard though
