Has anyone got the R5 desire rom from modaco working with apps2sd? when i try installing i get no option to install to SD card
 
Home Button Problem

Hi. Is anyone experiencing a problem with their home button (bottom left). It sometimes doesn't work and only briefly shows the lock screen.
 
I dreamed that I had a DESIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is killing me!!!!!!!!!!! I want I want! a DESIRE! stupid vodacrap!
 
Hi guys,

As you can see I am new to the forums as a member, but I've read quite a few things on here before. I am going to be getting my Desire on Monday or Tuesday, once the phone is delivered to the Vodashop I did my upgrade at.

I just wanted to know if you guys that have them, have had any issues or problems with them, and also, I was told today that HTC is leaving South Africa, and that we will then struggle with after sales support and so on? Is this true, or just something from the rumor mill?

Thanks for all the info in this thread though, it's great, I read it from page one to now, lol!
 
HTC was never here to begin with, they sell the phones through a local subsidiary, LEAF Technologies and I doubt they will be leaving anytime soon...

Unless off course they come out with a law preventing companies from ripping customers off...
 
lol...thanks...I know that Leaf is the agent, but what was said is that HTC phones will no longer be available here at all, once the current stock is used up!
 
Yeah, that's about as true as the free state adopting chinese as the local language...

They're not going to just suddenly stop selling one of the most popular brands of phones...

I checked with the provider and certain things were cleared up.
The offer I mentioned was made specifically for our company account so it will not apply to all.
They didn't actually make the offer. I showed them pricing on vodacom direct's website for the Desire and asked them to come up with a deal.

Best way to find out these things is to contact the relevant company and ask them yourself...of course they will neither confirm or deny any rumors ever;-)

All good, but as far as I know those prices are not really good at all....I mean, I pay R340 a month and I did not pay in anything....so no hair off anyones back? I could be wrong...

Can this be real? A Vodacom contract with no pay-in?! I can only hope so :p
 
It's only a Talk 75, so you are actually "paying in" every month to avoid an upfront payment.

I know lol I meant no up front pay-in :p I seriously don't get why you should pay R7000+ for a phone that's only R6000. I don't really care about the added extras like free minutes/free data/free sms's, I just want the phone =\
