[opinionhated]

Busy dowloading the 90mb update via HSDPA on my Desire. I have a 1.2Gb data bundle. Is this the Froyo update we've been waiting for?

[rorz0r]

Meh tried downloading the http://liveimage.htc.com/OTA_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.09.405.8-1.21.405.2_release4dua3bcrut4wrv30.zip link but getting error 7 and some stuff about build signatures etc. When I google most of the info applies to rooted phones. (and my file is update.zip not update.zip.zip).

[mayurh]

yes

[mayurh]

my fone is not rooted and i downloaed the file renamed it to update.zip
did not open the file
copied to to sd card and followed the instructions and it worked 100%

Should I backup. Only if by default I'll lose my data?

IIRC it does a backup before downloading.
