Official HTC One thread

Hey Guys, I got the One on Tuesday and I must mention it's probably one of most pleasurable experiences I've ever had with a phone. The screen is so crisp and fluid, coming from an S3, it's miles ahead! I'm really enjoying the new Sense 5 UI, in my opionion, far better than touchwiz or previous versions of sense. It's very intuitive and incredibly quick, wow was I shocked with the quadrant score, it runs circles around my Asus tegra 3 tablet and you definately notice it when running several apps and switching (actually prefer using home-double tap than pushing in the hefty S3/S4 home button everytime you want to switch apps). For some reason I also found that both the S3/S4 have random lags, especially with the contacts/phone app, I don't have this issue with the HTC One. Outstanding job HTC, definately worth the wait!

Nova 3:
I decided to take some screenies of this because Nova 3 is one of those games that will auto adjust it's graphics by your phone's capabilities. I compared with an HTC One X (which, unfortunately, I don't have any screenies of) and found the One X lacking in textures and partical effects. So when you fire your weapon on a One X, there's no heat waves from the barrel as seen here:

Also, right at the beginning of the game, the flames, smoke and embers seen on the screenie below are not rendered at all on the One X - all you see are holes in the buildings (kinda like that closest one on the top left)

Got a call from Nashua Mobile to say they have the device for me, and I can keep my MTN line. They've processed the upgrade and 2-5 working days for delivery :D :D :D :D :D. Can't wait!!!! I offered to pick it up at their offices in Midrand, but the guy said nope :cry:


It'll be a long weekend for me :(

Arg! I think we only getting this phone with Cell C in July. Just called the Pavilion branch, and that is what they were hinting at... Sad panda is sad

So jealous :( but yeah pricing is great!! so that tells me on anytime 200 it should be R400 pm..

469 per month, with 200m data plus some extra free minutes and sms's MTN to MTN. :D

I just got it on MTN anytime 200 for 469 with all them extra minutes from Nashua Mobile.

I'm glad I didn't give up waiting. I'd really be kicking myself right now. Anyone who gave up will be throwing their S4 or Xperia against the wall now :D

Just got the call from Nashua Mobile (MTN) :D :p. I can pick it up in the next 3-5 days. I am glad I waited.

This is gonna be the longest week of my life :).
