I am on 4.3 yes, awaiting official Play Edition 4.4 OTA in the coming days.

Just remember, you can get 4.3 now by just unlocking your bootloader and flashing a 4.3 based rom like Cyanogen or ARHD. I only s off'd because I wanted 4.4 from Google Play

So if I s off my device now...it will get the 4.3 and sense 5.5 update OTA,without me needing to do any other Rom stuff

Please join the XDA Forum and go to the HTC One sub forum and read all about S Off and OTA. It depends on your device's Hboot and firmware.

I doubt you will hate it. The new sense is very sleek, and I still dig it after so many months. I'm just in the mood to play around a little and see if I can get even more out of this phone.

Well I'm used to Vanilla Android had a Galaxy Nexus so we will see

Assuming you are on Hboot 1.44.0000,

Flash this. Choose to wipe data, install stock Radio's and stock Recovery. Boot up and make sure that you are on 4.1.2 with stock Radios and reboot into recovery to make sure you are 100% stock.

Then, assuming you know what you're doing (If you don't know how to use ADB, I strongly suggest you DO NOT try to S Off as this is how real "bricks" happen). Follow this.

Just unlock the bootloader, install TWRP, root, install Titanium Backup and you're good.
