I was also nervous then just one day I decided screw it lets do it. And I'm running 4.4 GPE. Works like a dream :)

Yep same here, imagine 4.4 is out already and only now Vodacom is allowing 4.3.. Like the previous posts - those on Vodacom/MTN will only get 4.4 next year
 
Busy downloading it now, after I downloaded a small update earlier in the day. The 2nd update is over 675 MB so I strongly urge folk to use Wi-Fi instead of their data bundles.
 
Busy downloading 4.3 via mtn update, 4.4 just released in EU france only,so not even the US or england has seen the upgrade yet,well at least 4.3 is downloading! Better than nothing

With version 4.3..cant see much of a difference, except theres Google Drive now.

Sense 5.5, seems to be mainly the lock screen and music player has changed. With a handful of new apps.
 
Grrrr. Have to download the update again as my wi-fi was interrupted, and I got a message saying that the download file was corrupt. <sigh>
 
I just updated, it seems quicker. What backup and restore program does HTC use for OTA updates because it works really well. Is it as easy when you flash your rom yourself?

I finally managed to complete the upgrade to 4.3 about 30 mins ago. Pleased as punch! :)
 
Ass balls! The one bloody time I take the cover off, I drop it. Lovely cracked screen. What an absolute ball ache! Is Regernisis the only place that can fix it?

My one cracked with a cover on. I only know of Regenernisis only. R2500.

To be fair, when most of us got our HTC One's, it was running 4.1. We then received the update to take it to 4.2.2. I suspect (and hope!) that when the 4.4 update is released, it will be 4.4.2.
 
When did you people get your ones? Mine came with 4.3 and sense 5.5. Does this mean I will also get 4.4 next year unless I root?

Most of us got with 4.2 and we are now on 4.3 after yr of waiting ... but 4.4 is out already and now im ready
to root and i'd like a easy to use guide that will walk me through it step by step ... cant afford to brick my ONE.
