Official ICC 2015 CWC thread

Im so ****ing pissed off. Pakistan didn't score a lot so change things a bit and allow QDK to come in a little later and play himself into form. but no they persisted with the opening berth and now he got a peach for a duck.

QDK must come in at 3 ffs.
 
QDK is a great talent, but needs to be dropped for now. AB for WK. Behardien is a decent enough fielder and gives us a bit more bowling options.

I don't agree that's he's a great talent. The reason he got selected is because of his skin colour.
 
In the last 3 years CSA have not only lowered the expectations of debutants over their first 10-15 internationals, they've also taken that to the CWC. Dangerous precedents are being set! Poor Reeza Hendricks must surely be sitting and wondering to himself why middle order bats are being rotated in his specialist position. Those thinking with their hearts, not minds, knew QdK was set to fail.
 
Has the rain slowed the outfield? It really looks slow, compared to when Pakistan batted.

Not sure who you would have selected at the time. He was young when he came into the team and a wicketkeeper that can bat gives you a spot to bring in another bowler or batsman.
Joint fastest to 1000 in ODI, youngest to five 100's and least innings needed to five 100's is more than decent. So yes, he is talented. Doesn't matter who he got those runs against; it's international cricket. He came into the team, took his opportunity and got off to a flying start.
