Official ICC 2015 CWC thread

I honestly believe that we can, and if anything we're losing at the right times now, and it may result in better next round preparation. I'm not as negative as many are about our CWC chances this year. :)
If the Proteas were to lose their first knockout match probably against SL/ENG/AUS (considering that they've lost to both IND&PAK, and been challenged by ZIM), how would you describe our CWC.

From my perspective it would amount to OUR WORST EVER ... despite the two 400 runs plus scores.

Zimbabwe are making a fist of it. 148 runs required, with 6 wickets in hand. But the 8.70 Required Run Rate is a big ask. Have to go big every over.

SIX!!! Brendan Taylor! Fielder flying in vain to avert that.

I also believe we can win this. How we lost against India by such a big margin is still strange.

The other thing that worries me is the 'choke' stigma that every player will be aware of. It will remain in the back of the head and when they reach the finals that awareness will intensify. The batsmen will probably feel it more than anyone else.

Of course it would be the worst cup for them but you're speculating on something that has not happened. SA is no 3 in the world after Aus and India. That counts for something. Give the boys a chance. They might surprise

Lots of people predicting a ZIM win ... but no one cares how they're doing?

The things the Proteas do to their fans

Ok so you always select the underdog and won 1 out of 10?

Awesome man, just brilliant /facepalm

Yeah, we all know why he didn't post a PIC of the leaderboard....where he's sitting on 19th place. I just joined this week...and am only 5 points behind him. Literally the only active player I can catch up to

If I'd picked naturally and topped the table people would give up SuperBru. :D

A couple of wooden spoons gives a few the satisfactiond don't you think? ;)

Anyway it's just a game. But I got the biggest two IND&PAK. Counts for something don't you think?

I posted the pick of a match result not leaderboard. Read carefully! I've been higher than now in the leaderboard before but still never posted it.

Duminy is not a joke. He's a top four batsmen, used the wrong way ... and we all know why.

Why do you not become the team coach/manager/trainer/selector. Jy kan maar baie k@k praat, selfs vir 'n [-]t[/-] drol [-]l[/-].

Comprehension fail. We all know WHY you didn't post the leaderboard....

Brendan Taylor is playing an absolute gem here guys. Arguably the best innings of the tournament!

Lol, well played!

37.3
Cusack to Taylor, OUT, uh, oh. Taylor's gone. Big, big moment, this. This was full outside off. Taylor was looking to lift it over cover. It was the slower one, he was through his shot too early, and the bat turned in his hands and it looped to mid-on instead
BRM Taylor c KJ O'Brien b Cusack 121 (91b 11x4 4x6) SR: 132.96

You should be asking yourself why guys aren't supporting a fellow Southern African side instead.

Huh?!!

Anyway...

I'm more worried about the South African's who don't support South Africa, but we won't mention any names outcast....

From heros to zeros. I think SA problem is a mental block when it comes to chasing in a WC under lights.

Its a huge monkey on our backs that needs to be addressed. I have no doubt that if we had batted first another 400 would've been on the cards.

It was a measly total that could've easily been chased down but somehow the saffers seem to panic and commit suicide. The classic choke. Its like a fking parasite.

Australia tore us apart in 2007 and that was a day game. Plus we batted first.... Lol

This happens in our rugby as well. There's a strong following and support for NZ under SouthAfricans
