Official ICC 2015 CWC thread

These poms are rather inept without their Saffers.

Looks like they want to go home early.
Cook dodged a bullet here.

Sincerely hope they do go home early. Early days though.

Broad to Mahmudullah, 1 run, and a misfield through backward point ushers in history as Mahmudullah becomes the first Bangladesh batsman to score a World Cup ton. Looked to glide this on the off side, and was able to get through for the single after the fumble by the fielder. Lots of emotions on display as he looked to the heavens

Ends a wonderful knock from the Bangladesh No. 3. Also should mention that the previous partnership is now the highest-ever for Bangladesh in World Cups. Sabbir Rahman is the new batsman

Their new record is 141.

He's doing pretty ok in Australia (Where the world cup is being played.).

Big bash cricket is not the same as international cricket. In international cricket he averaged 19 with the bat and 40.50 with the ball.

To put this in context Wayne Parnell has better stats...

Competent effort by Bangladesh. Good solid effort.

Bangladesh 275/7 (50.0 ov)

England really struggling with their team selection. They've rightly dropped Ballance, but now they have to deal with the challenge of accomodating "Captain" Eoin Morgan while Ravi Bopara who would provide sorely needed relief to their bowlers, can come in. He wasn't in form but at least he would match whatever Morgan is getting, plus get some wickets. England stand no chance with just these 5 bowlers. Very easy for the opposition to target one or two of them and the captain is rendered powerless.

With their attack right now, I think the Proteas stand a better chance against England than AUS, NZ&SL.

If Morgan doesn't come right today then they have to drop him, make Bell/Root captain, and include Bopara.

I expect England to chase this down easily. Ali, Bell, Hales, Root, Taylor should really get the job done wihtout breaking much sweat. If not Morgan, Buttler&Woakes should finish it off. Failing that then they really deserve to go home.

Do you guys make such comments by accident or you'r epersistently tuned to that frequency? Parnell has better stats than a lot of bowlers - in SA&internationally. Almost all of them achieved despite being consistently&inexplicably denied the new ball. Try "he's got better stats than Abbott,Morris&Albie". Afterall Parnell's stats are as good as most international ODI cricketers - similar to Broad&Anderson. ;)

If only this thread could not notify me that TrollKast also added new posts.

Pretty silly to see new posts, and then come here and there's nothing new.

I'm supporting the poms  because I don't want India playing Bangladesh in the quarters...

I agree with you. I really don't rate AB as a captain, and in the current setup I world rather see Faf as captain. AB goes into his shell when under pressure, and can't innovate. Faf, like Botha, is at least willing to take some risks. AB is also too diplomatic in his captaincy, and feels the need to carry everything on his own shoulders, including the mistakes of the team.

Why not Duminy?
Hes cool and calm, bats and bowls...
Why cant Duminy be captain?

Also WTF is Duminy, our 3rd best and most experienced batsmen doing at number 7??
He is far better than Faf, Miller and Rousouw.

They have a better chance of losing vs. Bangladesh at the moment, so rather Bangladesh I feel. England have been horrible the last 2 months.

Yes. Hoping the Yeenglish don't pull off one good performance to squeak through. Come on, Bangies.
