AB has to get rid off his part time overs... here is with the ball.

We can't just rely on our batsmen. 300 after 43 overs is pretty good. Our bowlers need to come to the party.

Yeah, bigtime! Steyn and Vern's inability to pick up wickets with the new ball was critical! The 5th bowler hurt us today too!! Oh well...

On the bright side, we didn't choke, we just bowled poorly

Indeed.

In fact, we have actually performed according to par in the knockouts. We weren't embarrassed like before. We have been beaten by the better side today. They have Boult and Southee, we don't.

Yes and no.. personally i think thats no where near equivalent as coming out to the pitch and having to get 350-370 runs. With reduced overs it just makes it the runs per over needed matter lesser by a factor of like 1.15-1.2 since the advent of Twenty20. I think the DwL system should be adjusted

that's not choking. losing from a winning position is choking.

All i mean is i think they let emotions get to them in the first few overs and didnt bowl line and length at all. So yeah not your classic choke just not the right big game temperament.

Our bowlers did kind of choke in the first 6 overs, which pretty much decided the game.

yeps, that was the key...NZ are strolling away with it now because we couldn't strangle them the way Boult and Southee etc. did to us for the first 25 overs of our innings.

I can't believe Steyn is 100% fit, honestly. He just hasn't looked himself. I wonder if that hammie strain is bugging him more than he lets on. You can't tell me that in a crunch game like this, the player with the biggest heart is giving it his all.

Have to agree with you guys. The batsmen did a excellent job and laid down a good platform. The bowlers messed up big time. Maybe if Abbott was there things could have been different. But that's part of the game I guess. Still makes me sad
