Official ICC 2015 CWC thread

Run Rate steadily climbing every ball. Really tough chase for any team.

Damn, Rossouw makes things tricky. It's one thing having a player trying to play himself back into form, it's another to have another guy looking in supreme touch on the bench. It's starting to look harder and harder to leave Rossouw out of the line-up.

Quinton needs to relax and accept sometimes the bowling is good enough or the wicket tricky enough that 40/0 after 10 overs is fine....him personally and his coaching needs to get that message drilled into him.

I wouldn't drop Rossouw either. Farhaan makes way for jp when he returns and abbot for vern. JP,AB,Rillee and Faf bowl 10 overs between them.

I rather go with specialist then the bits and pieces that farhaan and parnel offer.

Abbott may have done well, but I refuse to accept that he's a good bowler. He's still rubbish in my books. Well below international standard and that won;t change anytime soon.

Still better than Parnell.

And NO, Parnell isn't an all-rounder. He was, but definitely not now.

Not a chance! Abbot (28yrs old), is half the bowler Parnell is (26 yrs old). Stats agree!

Statistically, Abbott is th eworst seamer to represent South Africa since th estart of the 21st century. That doesn;t happen by accident.

All of Rory, Morris, Zondeki have been dropped for doing better than him at the same point.

I think both of them are good enough for SA to play, difficult to compare Abbot with Parnell, till now I don't remember Parnell got the new ball.... so its kinda unfair comparing in that regard....

On the day both of them are "dangerous" in my opinion, the problem for both of them is the consistency, and that is probably the biggest deciding factors...

When last did Parnell deliver a ball as good as the one that got Gayle?

When has Abbott ever been dangerous?

Gayle contributed to his demise, same with Samuels no need to fish, Smith almost fell slogging.

No it's an insult to a lot of bowlers to rate Abbott that highly. He's not good. Remember what i said, he's the worst ODI seamer in SA's history since the start of the 21st century!
