Official ICC 2015 CWC thread

Jeez. What a ding dong battle. Superb cricket by the associates - perhaps the most exciting match of the tournament thus far.

It is so much better to watch these tight games when your team is not involved!
10 from 12 needed.

Who cares where they bat, the reality is that the current Proteas (current form) is way sub par compared to other 'favourite' teams.

ohh....and Clarke wont play without 'form'...he has already had a few trial matches

What is the point of comparing them per position if it doesn't matter where they bat...

They have had 2 poor games and suddenly people are writing them of. NZ had a shocker vs Scotland as well and the same for sri lanka vs afghanistan. Somehow when its SA the team gets buried the moment they have a bad moment.

Trial/friendly matches aren't the same as real games. He has proven his fitness, will have to see about form.

Because we have a massive weakness, which is our big tail. The other teams can have one-off bad games, but we will have performances like we had vs. India again during this world cup. As soon as we're 5 down, it's all downhill from there.

And our bowling has been off the boil for a long while now.

Day game is the only way...

On some grounds if its a day game it can disadvantage the team batting first. Some grounds tend to have moisture early on because of the overnight conditions.

There really is no 100% answer to this.
