Ros: "I remember India vs SA test match in 2010. Harbhajan was batting, a ball from Dale Steyn passed his bat with distinct sound and everyone in the field appealed insanely but it was judged not out. Later replays showed that ball hit the off stump without disturbing the bails." Apparently Harbhajan has also been on the other side of that situation once, but I'm not sure which batsman he was bowling too.

Ha ha! They just replayed the incident with Snicko, and it went completely crazy when the ball hit the stumps.

17.1 Mohammad Tauqir to Joyce, no run, dropped! Down the track looking to chip it over the bowler. Got too close to it and ended up hitting it just over his right shoulder. He stuck his right hand out and it simply didn't stick

Yeah. Wonder many successful chases there have been during this CWC (NZ's chase against feeble England aside). Ireland will be smarting, given that they won the toss

Ireland chased 300 against the West Indies. But there doesn't seem to be any balance, those two chases were an exception to the rule...

Anyone got any ideas how to render the toss less significant in terms of deciding the contest? A team's chances of winning shouldn't go up or down depending on how a coin falls on the ground.
