Yeah, agreed. His comments are measured and insightful and delivered without national blinkers.

Believe Warne would have been successful no matter what era he played in. a Lot his wickets he got weren't down to the ball he bowled but out thinking the batsman and winning the mind games. He may not have been as successful as he was but he would still be the best spinner around imho.

As to high tech people were trying to analyse warne for years, the english even developed a machine called merlin to help simulate warne during practice. He still dominated.

Smith will bat at 5 so please how can you include him in both 4 and 5. Need to pick one for your analysis. If as suggested clarke bats at 4 then SA is ahead in that area as clarke has no form.

Current form maybe no show and smith are ahead of jp/miller...Career averages wise the winners are clear though and its not the aussie pair.

The aussie team has the longer batting lineup no doubt but then we had the much longer batting lineup in 1999(batted all the way to nr 10 with elworthy) but we still lost.

Brilliant stuff, and that's a brilliant bit of batting to get to the landmark, dabbing it away into the gap to the left of short third man and picking up three. Takes the helmet off and sinks to his knees, huge grin on his face. This has been a wonderful innings.

I really liked what MC had to say - especially the bit about getting the guys to do different things and changing them around.

Also, he's right, get rid of that damn scruffy beard!

So MC comes out and says indirectly AB is a poor captain, Parnell is the right selection just needs to open&be challenged, Steyn&Morkel have been rubbish, QdK a tailender in disguise, Amla forcing the issue and AB's batting has been poor since that WI gifted madness. In a nutshell he's saying the Proteas have been horrible barring Philander&Tahir. At least he can still agree with me while I sound wrong. Then again he wants to turn Rilee into one half of Albie, while AB assumes the other half so what do I know ;)

Interestingly MC concurs with some of the guys who say Faf has grown arrogant, but to "blame" AB for that is giving him too much credit. Faf is being Faf. Faffing around!

I was disgusted when he pulled it after Hamilton Masakadza spanked him each time. It's not good for the team. Unless it's a KP teaching him a lesson, he should have Brett Lee written all over his face everytime. In our pool only Gayle&Kohli really should make him look like that.
 
6/1 Stirling gone. Huge setback.

That youngster would've been a top ten batsmen playing for the better Full Members. He really gives them the impetus upfront.

Your interpretation is shrouded in negativity and assumptions and reflects your bias and prejudice, with barely a vague reference to what he is actually saying...

The reason why we don't progress is because people are too polite and diplomatic on our sportspeople. What I said is essence what MC meant in a diplomatic sense.

10.4 Amjad Javed to Joyce, no run, bowled him! Or is it? Oh man. That was the yorker on off stump, and it hurried through Joyce before he could bring his bat down. Hit the side of off stump, the off bail went off its groove, all lit up, only to land back in it. How unlucky is that?
