Poor captaincy on the pitch as well. But yes, there is no game plan being deployed whatsoever. I cannot see what the coaching staff are trying to execute here. The guys are just all over the show...
 
Why do we not put any pressure on the Irish after kickoffs, at rucks or when there is general play? We are standing off and covering space but at the same time the Irish are exploiting that time and space.

No urgency. No positive game plan. Poor defence. Poor handling.
 
We desperately need a new captain; Marx need to replace Strauss as hooker. Lambie or Whiteley as captain, in my opinion Lambie, but then we when Pollard returns then there is another battle as it will be either Lambie or Pollard in the match day 23.

Okay, Coetzee is playing old-school Stormers rugby, it is evident by their movements. Louw and Vermeulen is useless. Malherbe should take early retirement. De Allende… Kolisi… what’s up with the Schalk syndrome?

That instruction can only come from strategy meetings with the coach. Which is odd because it's an historically strong aspect of our game. I can only imagine that the logic is to have more cover defence which is such a defeatist strategy it would be pathetic if it is the case...

Why he wasn't subbed there and then I don't know.

You can't afford to have to carry someone performing so poorly up to half time.

I don't understand why coaches have this hesitancy to sub someone pre HT.
 
Oh, NOW AC brings on Whiteley and Combrink. Good thing we have 40 of the 80 left.

EDIT: I suppose they'll have to walk on water to prove their worth 'tho.

The loosies are not committing at the breakdown nor having any impact at all when trying to run. But that's because the backline are all passing behind the runners, which destroys all momentum. Every time they do that it might as well be counted as a new phase. Malherbe is being destroyed in the scrums and is absolutely nowhere at any other point in the game. Mvovo has been terrible. Just...no commitment to anything right now. Kolisi is a crash ball player. Why, I don't know. The guy has awful hands and carries the ball under the wrong arm into tackles. De Allende is fine. His job is to draw two defenders to create gaps for the other quicks. Jantjies has been awful at flyhalf. No leadership and no clue what he wants to do. Let's not talk about the boot of his tonight.

Let's see if we've been sufficiently shat out at half time...
