Official June 2016 Tests Thread

whole crowd and us viewers see the knock, touch idiots and ref clueless ......

This was the best game we've played this series. Still not anything remotely close to being acceptable but we have improved with every game. We did the basics far better than the previous two games. Good scrum and line out but our defense was exceptional with Faf being the standout.

We have some absolute passengers in this team that needs getting rid. Le Roux, Straus, Kolisi, Louw, Malherbe. I'm undecided on Mapoe as he doesn't look anything special. TBH I could go through this whole team apart from one or two who doesn't convince.

It's difficult to judge Mapoe since the ball never gets past Damian "I shall not pass" De Allende

I thought Damian was mostly poor this game apart from a few good carries. When he was at his best last year he passed the ball more and made some good offloads. I just don't think Mapoe is long term prospect. I was under the impression that he was a good attacking player but the few times he had the ball in open play he didn't look good enough.

Tough game but a win. I also agree that Faf should have been Man of the match. Faf made great tackles during the game. Damian, Willie, Malherbe was poor. Damian doesn't want to pass the ball and Willie doesn't stop with his useless kicks. Great scrum when Kitshoff and Julian came on. I'm just glad that Jaco Kriel eventually got his chance.

Ref missed some stuff and in particular when Faf took quick tap and Ireland wasn't back ten.

We still have a long way to go before we will be able to compete with the All Blacks.
