Did you manage to find a black one though, or did you settle in white? I'm glad it's d802 as I am definitely going to flash cyanogenmod, will probably just wait out the 7 days. But, then again, I'll probably end up rooting and flashing on the same day I get it..

Yes got a black one - after I did the phoning around - the VC lady I dealt with was SO unhelpful, couldn't be bothered to look - I asked her to phone around and I got rolled eyes, after which she begrudgingly tried a few stores. I then phone 3 other stores - one had stock but only white, last one I called had a black so I booked it and collected after work. Surprisingly that guy who helped me there gave me the best service EVER from VC.

Hopefully I won't have problems finding black from MTN, they are not really marketing it that much. On the last pamphlet it was advertised on the VERY last page. At least they recent changed the bundle to allow top up.. What's VC's bundle, if I may ask?
I am looking for a very thin case. Have anybody been able to find a decent thin case? My wife have a s4 and she got a very thin case on her phone which I like very much but have not been able find anything similar anywhere. I have tried to Google around but have not found anything yet.
I am currently using the the case that came with the phone from VC but it is to thick/bulky to my liking.

+1 it's functional but helluva chunky and the little preview on closed flap isn't exactly useful

Really enjoying this phone thus far! A more perfect size than 5.5 inch, 5.7 inch or 5 inch (for me), and the LG skin is much better than Touchwiz in my opinion. Very snappy!
December at last - time to Upgrade. Last time I posted questioning a few things between the HTC One and the S4 and settled for the HTC....
But then the G2 came into the picture and i am also seriously considering that.
Any of you owned both and have a comment about this?

have any of you experienced any problems with the signal, something went wrong and lost SP signal, this happened a week and a half ago, tried wifi and still could not connect? I took it back and is now at the advance repair centre
Been almost a month since I have got it and I loving it so far. I have had no issues so far and the battery life is great. This is my first Android phone that I do not have to worry about going through a day looking at some stage for a battery top up when making a lot of calls etc.
One thing that I must be honest about is I am still not sure the back button option is the best. I sometimes still look for the buttons on the side.
I have had good LTE service from Vodacom. Still looking for a decent thin case, have not found any, but not going out of my way to find one either. Sometimes I use the view case that came with it and sometimes not.
Starting to use the camera also a lot, one if the better phone cameras I have used.
The knock knock feature is great as well, sometimes a hit or miss but I found about one third from the top in the middle of the screen, where the views case window is best.

Awesome.
Been really enjoying this phone after about a week. I like the buttons on the back. I kinda like the view cover (as far as covers go) , despite making the phone more bulky.
Will like to root sometime soon.

Got me an LG G2 last Saturday - upgrading from a Galaxy S2. Absolutely loving it.
Yes, I have rooted the phone. Using Xposed Framework. No, I haven't tried a custom ROM, and won't be doing that for a while. LG's skin is VERY customizable, especially so with XPosed G2 and G2 TweaksBox modules installed. I set the DPI to 400 as well, which makes a huge difference in real estate.

Thanks for your input! Which method did you use to root?
This one: http://www.androidpit.com/tutorial-root-the-lg-g2 - there was another article elsewhere pointing out the same file and process. Worked flawlessly.
Be warned - it does set the RootCheck flag on the phone. Could have an impact on warranty.
