Im so glad he left Everton, im obviously an Everton fan. Its sad to see a side like Man Utd get so rubbish so quickly as a result of one man. Makes for a fun league though

12 points from the last 15, but we definitely need... Something. We're playing abysmal football. Valencia needs some time off. Evra too, looks fatigued. Maybe Januzaj on the right and give Zaha some gametime on the left.

Are both da Silva twins at United, or is it only Rafael? Don't think that either would do too badly at left back. I really would like to see DM play Zaha- Young is atrocious. At least Zaha can compliment Januzaj's ability to take players on, on a different flank.

We do have Jones and RvP coming back soon. Carrick/Cleverly was bypassed yesterday even with Rooney dropping deep to give us numerical advantage in midfield. Adebayor was beastly, must be up for a new contract or something.

I worry with RvP's return, that this will see Welbeck moved back to the left wing. I have been really impressed by his performances when played up front as of late. He is a far better striker than I have ever given him credit for, even while he is still developing his game.

A midfielder that can hold onto the ball alongside of Carrick is a must, though. Perhaps a cash + player (Kagawa?) exchange for Gundogan? Even Huddlestone alongside Carrick would be a good option.

I don't entirely feel that DM is to blame for this. There are a number of factors involved.

But perhaps the biggest criticism towards him, is the lack of confidence he inspires in that United team.

Opposition teams feared playing United, home or away, largely because of Fergie. DM just doesn't inspire the same sort of fear in the opposition, and probably not the same level of confidence in his squad. If teams don't fear United at OT, what will happen when they have to visit other teams? He needs to be careful that the team doesn't develop an inferiority complex due to the results. Fergie, to his credit, was the master of hammering the opposite attitude into the team.

I dunno, that is debatable. He has lost some key players to injury; has inherited an imbalanced squad (in terms of age and qualitative depth); his rivals have improved, some substantially (in the cases of City and Spurs); and Fergie leaving United is a massive blow, regardless of who his replacement ended up being. The extra 10-20% that United had over teams, came from him.

As an Everton fan, you have to look at the progress Everton have made over the years and agree that DM is the reason behind it, current squad included.

Both are still there. Not sure what the hold up on Fabio's development has been though. We won't play Rafael at LB, if he's fit, he's our first choice RB.

Zaha is technically good, but tends to go for flair when it isn't needed and has makes bad decisions too often.

Problem is that RvP has to be first choice. Always. Welbeck is coming along, finally adding goals to his play, but RvP is a proven goalscorer who doesn't have long left at his peak. We just have too much imbalance at United. Even if Welbeck ended up playing next to RvP and Rooney dropped deeper, it means leaving out a fantastic player in Kagawa.

Ag, I dunno. Even if you get a good CM, doesn't meant he's going to slot in seamlessly. After splashing the cash on Fellaini, not sure how much the board is going to allow Woodward and DM to spend. They certainly haven't proved they're adept in the transfer market.

Man Utd goes from league winners to a shambles with roughly the same team.

Everton goes from mid table team to genuine top 4 contender.

There is one common denominator here and its not with the players

Moyes also had Everton performing way above their wage structure and expense outlay. Martinez is a fantastic coach but don't fool yourself that Moyes did nothing with Everton.

He also had a lot more time to do it. SAF hardly set the League alight when he joined United. He's not totally at fault for the results - I feel that some players are slacking off, but you're right, the buck stops with him.
