Poor performance by United, think you guys need to go out and buy some midfielders. Other than Januzaj and Giggs (who both can't play 90 minutes week in, week out) the united midfield is pretty poor. Wenger, Pellegrini and Mourinho sit better midfield players on the bench every week, than united have in their squad. Time to go shopping for someone tried and tested in a Champions League club. Mata would be a great signing for you guys, I know they tried for Cesc, but maybe another out of favor spaniard? They have so many at Barcelona.
 
United experiencing their own version of Roy at the moment?

He needs time and the club will probably give him time, maybe 2 seasons. But what happens if united dont make UCL this season and the next? For LFC its been a struggle and I am not sure we will make it this season, obviously I hope we do but the financial ramifications are huge, especially for a club with such massive debts as united.

Rodgers had a similar time during his first season at LFC. One good win, then a sloppy performance, draw, lose, win..it happens. But the united squad that he inherited from fergie is not that good to be honest..

He took Everton to finishes above LFC for the last couple of seasons with a fraction of their budget.

Very true but we kinda need "a" Rooney now. Suarez is playing hard to get by signing a new contract and scoring like it's going out of fashion so Rooney will do just fine right now. Thoughts of seeing Berbatov prancing around looking all eloquent and not much else instill no confidence.

The weight of expectation on his shoulders must be ball-breaking. At Everton he "overachieved" considering that a top [-]8[/-] 10 finish would have been "acceptable" most of the time. The dude is under massive strain - something he's probably not used to dealing with in his managerial career and I'm guessing this is the key factor atm.

If Solskjaer does a half decent job for the rest of the season then I'd bet the loose change in my ashtray that he'll be your new manager if ol' Moyes gets the boot/quits/has a heart attack.

Just came back from holiday in PE and I must say I like what Moyes is doing to Man U. Doing a Souness at United. May the trend continue through the New Year. Compliments of the season to Moyes :thumbup:

not much choice in squad choices

same united players win league with no sweat less then one year back today

injuries not valid excuse ...ask arsenal fans

100 new signings wont help... need right signings. who want to come to united now

nobody buy fellaini unless moyes goes to another club and buys him again

They're in a bad place. Outside the top 4 meaning and top player joining who stand a chance of not playing champions league.
 
As Chelsea, Man City, PSG and Monaco have proven what really matters to a modern footballer is just the salary so United will have no problem attracting top players as long as we are willing to pay.

So in other words, we are ****ed.

Send RvP to the MLS, Rooney to the Arsenal. £500k in weekly wages freed up right there! Get rid of Anderson, another £80k in wages and at least £50k per week in food saved.

See... it's not that hard :D

United have the two highest paid players in the league within their ranks...

We also have a lot of the squad who aren't on high wages. Except for Rooney/RvP, I can't think of anyone else who has wages approaching what is the norm for above-average talent at those clubs.

I think United are ranked 5th on the overall squad wages.

Edit: Looks like they're third.
