Seems inevitable now. I'm not convinced by Moyes based only on his accomplishments to date but I am contented by Ferguson's endorsement.

I've never chatted about football on this forum until I saw this thread now. Is this what passes for acceptable banter amongst the United faithful here? You're a disgrace. Since when have we been trophy whores? Sir Matt Busby introduced us to greatness, Sir Alex Ferguson changed what greatness means and the next period of greatness will be under a legend befitting a knighthood.

Moyes understands the English game, he has proven his competency at a top level, he is a loyal long-term manager, he has exceptional man management skills, he won't get sick of life around Manchester and bugger off, he's relatively young, he hates Liverpool FC, he's classy and a man of integrity, he's devoid of whinging Mourinho-type antics, he was even born close to where Sir Alex was and he's cut from exactly the same cloth.

He has been the only name on the table for years I would guess. I would have been flabbergasted if anyone else was chosen.

Moyes is anything but proven at the highest level. He may make it, he may not.

Moyes hasn't won a trophy on the. blue half of Merseyside .....

Done well enough to help Everton punch above their weight with minimal investment over the years..... I'm still not convinced he has the knack and know how to win when it really matters......


its IMPOSSIBLE to follow in Fergies footsteps.... the manager replacing Moyes in the next year or so will have less pressure and an easier task at hand !!!

Moyes to get fired in December and Fergie to return :D

I am sure every non-Utd fan is thinking this. Hope Utd don't make Top 4 next season and Moyes is not a success and the start of a proper mediocre Utd
 
we hope fergie pulls a scholes :p

but yeah not sure what to think of moyes ...he did keep everton above liverpool a few times with way less finance

but yeah ...welcome moyes and all the best

Yeah Im sure most opposition supporters are thinking that and Im sure alot of United supporters are fearing that....We just have to wait and see

Im enjoying witnessing history though, change of an era
