Rooney is undoubtedly not a very good profession, but he is still a very good player. We would be weaker without him unless we got a replacement before letting him go.

To be honest the only transfer involving Rooney that has been proposed by the media hacks so far that has any appeal to me is Rooney & cash for Ronaldo. Sadly that isn't going to happen.

Where exactly has Rooney been playing the last 2 seasons? Lone striker? His been behind a lone striker - where Kagawa will fit perfectly if Moyes decides to keep with the 4-5-1 formation

The benefit of Rooney is that he can play well almost anywhere.

But the other side of the coin is that he's a money grabbing, petulant tw@t with illusions of grandeur. Maintaining the United way comes before any particular player. I'd very much like for Moyes to show Rooney the door.

I think people need to realise that the era of players like Giggs and Scholes is long gone. Rooney is the new standard of what a modern talented footballer is.

I disagree. Ferdinand, Vidic, Carrick, Chicharito, Van Persie, the Brazilian twins, Evra, Cleverley, Young and in fact most of our squad understands the United way of doing things. Ie. camaraderie, loyalty and class. And I'm delighted Moyes is taking over because he's cut from the same cloth as Sir Alex.

Then he needs to be shown the door :) SAF didn't stand Stam, RVN, Beckham, etc. see where they landed up ;) Hope Moyes show's the same backbone as SAF
 
Rooney to Chelsea? Would you guys be against that? Obviously selling him to non-rival would be prefered but realistically who besides Chelsea would be willing to take [a gamble on] him?

Maybe PSG or Monaco (who've just splurged on Falcao so probably not) but I doubt Rooney would be too keen on leaving the EPL. I suppose you could throw Real Madrid and Barcelona into the equation but I don't think they're interested lol.

Well if Moyes tells him to gtfo and the fans don't want him ... what are his options? Hence my Chelsea prediction.

To be honest I think he'll stay at Man U though and make peace with the fans etc. After a few decent early season performances (couple of goals, assists and lots of working hard i.e. running around) it will all be forgotten anyway.
 
My parents brought me next season's home shirt (with the official van Persie name and number printed) from their recent London trip. So stoked!

The fans aren't retarded. After Rooney's first episode he has never been viewed in the same light. I hope so damn much that Ronaldo returns and Rooney leaves.

Please don't call United 'Man Yoo' if you don't mind. I have a friend who was humiliated at Old Trafford by some rowdy fans for saying it - real fans never, ever use that term. Unless you're not a fan, in which case feel free.

And he regretted selling Stam. He admitted it a few years ago.

He was one of my favourite players. :(
