bullschit. The Perez Galactico's might have been a failure on the pitch but they weren't the first all star generation. Santiago Bernabau assembled the first all-star team in the 50's (Puskas, Di Stefano) and set the record for consecutive European Cups won. Dude... a little research on your part would be most appreciated.

In the recent past, where transfer fees were through the roof. Sheesh. I am sure the side of the 50s, no matter how much they cost even back then, could not be compared to the more recent sides.

Dude... Santiago started all this mega money dealing nonsense. It might not have been so stratospheric, but then again... there was no internet back then, there were no mega money tv deals, etc etc. At the time... it was considered extravagant (and revolutionary).

I should have said - the LAST time they did it, it was not very successful. Better?

Slow days hey... Oh yeah and you tards should actually try using the thread made for footy transfers, seeing as until you are actually linked properly with a player it belings there. Once you actually sign someone (like Valencia), then you can gush about it in this cold place...

So Michael Owen coming in for a physical today and could be signed up as well after.

If he does come along, the matches at Anfield this coming season are going to be Voicy :p

A cheap buy with some behind it - this similar to a Teddy Sherringham move from Sir Alex?
