Everything aside and common sense talking, Celverley and Fletcher. Cleverley likes to push up high (good thing as Rooney doesn't need to drop deep. Notice how he's stopped scoring since Cleverley was injured) which leaves a sizeable hole in our midfield. Fletcher is more prepared to sort out this hole left in the midfield than Anderson is. Anderson also likes to push up a bit which leaves an even bigger hole. Look at the first few games of the season, there was ample space for the opposition strikers to roam in and attack our defense.

Yep exactly what I was saying earlier on... That said I feel we should start with Ando/Cleaverly combo and once we score those 2-3 goals Carrick should be sent on to close the gap in midfield

I personally find that Carricks excellent footballing sense and technical abilitys are much more prominently felt on the match from the bench.

Jokes aside this does highlight that we do indeed need a proper defensive mid.
 
Out of curiosity is Anderson in the first team Brazil squad , meaning has he played this past week.

Mate, I'm not hating on Vidic. I'm just glad he's retired and thought he should have retired at the end of WC 2010 simply because we would have had time to bring through some of our other CBs (and Serbia have some amazing CBs currently). Subotic, Rajkvoic and a few others I've been watching here. They need time to gel and only now will they get it.

Oh noes with that formation looks like SAF going for the win... which will expose our back 4...

If that's the case I hope Vidic and Ferdie plays not Vidic and Evans

Hell I'd rather have Jones Vidic than Evans in that setup
 
Prefer having welback alongside Rooney ,he offers abit moree with his back to goal than Hernandez.
