Yeah, battery charging all the time...

I had the same problem...

And then down graded to another Belle.. (previous one) and battery lasted FOREVER :D

Lumia.. awesome phone...

Ok, though Andriod is not bad themselves.. but still :(

Let me put it this way. I am a huge fan of Nokia's hardware, and a huge fan of the Android OS. So it really pains me that I can't get what I want as a consumer.

So the way I see it, I still have a month or two to decide, not that I think much will change from now and 2 months from now.

I also want to see how far e-yes gets ICS working on the N9 which might be an option, seeing as I like the N9 phone as well, and on top of that, that phone is very hackable.
 
Same as Tinuva the Nokia hardware is held in high regard especially comparing the hardware features you get on any other phone for the same price. But OS is now a tipping point for phones...plus you have Google accounts having Android just makes sense. I recently tried to synch my phone with my Google calendar and it failed. Also the whole Ovi store to me was a failure...okay maybe not but DRM in a whole is a failure which doesn't make me want to use the service. Hopefully Google Music for Androids doesn't have all these strict rules.
 
I think it was the vibration setting which got turned on when upgrading my phone that took away my battery life so quickly. After turning it off my battery lasts a hell of a long time even with wi-fi on

Anyone know how to delete the searching history in OVI maps, using N8 with OS Belle?

my N8 with OS BELLE is irritating me big time, it always freezes whenever i open a new received message,i also have to tab the green button and wait for some time before it can open call logs
 
What Version of Belle are you using?

I currently downloaded the 111.040.0906 version.. It's ok, but sometimes it's a bit laggy...


Anyway, just want to ask..

Does anyone know how install like a language to the N8.. Cause a friend wants to install Chinese and Jap on his phone, but I don't know which version has.. Does anyone know?

Cause I did download a version from: Here but it didn't work..

Like phone just doesn't switch on.. First time it worked, second.. third.. fourth.. all didn't work.. I don't know if it's because I'm using the 111.040.0906 version

Like cannot downgrade..

Help.. anyone?

Try this and just flash a custom language Rofs2. Just know it is not based on 111.040.0906. Me, myself and I use http://forum.dailymobile.se/index.php?topic=61574.0. I see v7 is released. Going to download it now.
 
Hi All

Hope you guys can help to get my OVI navigation to run again...
I recently upgraded my N8 to OS Belle navigation worked 100% went twice to Montague and once to De Doorns via Matroosberg Pass however since yesterday it reboot my N8 when I activate Drive it will not even start Just Drive.
I used Map Loader to uninstall the RSA maps reinstalled this morning via Nokia Suite....same problem.
Any help would be appreciated.
Or how can I uninstall OS Belle and load the previous OS?

Why don't you try uninstalling maps and re installing with beta version? http://betalabs.nokia.com/ovi-maps

EDIT: I see it's out of beta... try re-installing Ovi Maps anyway... http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/maps-support/compatibility-and-download

I don't think Belle is the problem... mine works fine...
Do you need "just drive"? Why not just put in your destination?
 
No don't need "just drive" I only tried it to see whether it will reboot my N8 and yes it did!
If its not Belle then where do I check for the problem?
OK, still eights months warranty do you think Vodacom will fix this problem?

If you have a nokia care centre clsoe to you rather take it there Vodacom are horible at nokia repairs
but why dont you try re installing belle, if you go on to nokia suite and click on the update icon it will scan your phone and say your phone has sofwate version xxx if you ahve a problem you can re install the software click on reinstall and do a fresh install of belle - either way nokia (or vodacom ) will do that any way, it might overight what ever is casuing the problem
 
Well just re-installed Belle and it still reboot my N8 while trying to use the maps.
Anyone else with a similar problem?
