Can someone post a detailed how to...on how to flash upgrade to 111.040.0906. or Taylors V7.1
Especially with where to extract the RM596 if you already have the original RM 596 folder in phoenix?
what to delete what to backup and what to refurbish

My N8 is now in JHB for repairs because the local Vodacom repair shop could not fix the problem will get my phone back in two weeks time.
 
I need help with my mail sync with gmail, it worked fine until I reinstalled belle , my mtnloaded mail sync is working fine, so I guess the email settings are ok
 
Got my N8 back from JHB and believe it or not...same problem! Took it back to Tygervalley and the Lady told me to buy a 64k sim card and do a sim swop did that....same problem.
 
@arneduppi....thanks for links but can only do that when the N8 is out of warranty.
Did sent an e-mail to the Executive Client Liaison at Vodacom received a reply yesterday and waiting for more feedback.
 
Replacement phone approved:) Brand new Nokia N9 on the way:)

My thanks to all involved at Vodacom's Customer Care Department.
 
Just downloaded "Extra Buttons" for my phone. I see Nokia Store now has an option to pay using your phone bill as well as credit card . Pretty sweet! Extra Buttons really gives the phone more functionality. Gonna download a new theme tonight and give my phone a new look ;)
 
Anybody using the FNB Digital Phone app on the N8?

I'm having hassles with the logon screen and thought I would check here first before going to FNB.

Yeah use it all the time on my N8. Works great. Try downloading the app again

I've logged a call with FNB Connect, but in the meantime I found that if I hit the menu button, and then go back in, the flashing stops.

I also learnt from the support line that the FNB app (banking) includes a phone and is apparently much better.
