I know of offline co-op but not sure of online.
Thinking of purchasing next week maybe, need to be raped by the bank first :o
 
a huge thanks to IAP for the ubuntu and yellow dog flavours for the ps3. you rock dude, owe you big. now has anyone have this up and running? any cool tips or sites that are dedicated to running linux on the ps3??
 
Red Alert 3 on PS3 is awesome!!!!

I don't know why people are complaining about playing an RTS on a console.
The controls are very clever designed and works like a bomb. :cool:

The story is great and you've got all the extra's as well.
Game play is still as exciting and I'm almost done with the Soviet campaign.

I will need some people to join me for online co-op to get those trophies.

No regrets, I recommend it to everybody and the price is great too.
 
Is there any way to download PS3 free content with your PC??

I have a 3 gig Cybersmart adsl account and with them if I download between 01:00 and 08:00 AM they only deduct one 5th the cap used....
Now my question is that on the PS3 store there is many free demos to download, but they are huge and I would like to schedule them to download between 01:00 and 08:00 AM? This can not be done while downloading with the console....can I get this content from somewhere where I can download it with a download manager and schedule the download???:confused:

You'll have to start it manually, dont know of settint it to go off a certain time.
My advice would be, get yourself some axxxess prepaid local cap goes for about R12 per GB. Use international to que the downloads from the store, pause it all then switchto local and resume. Can even download full PSN games with your local cap.

Thanks for coming back to me.....How do I know that I am downloading from a local PSN server? Or doesn't it matter?

It doesn't matter, just switch your router to the local account then it should work. I'm busy doing it right now :D Tekken DR online and Wipeout HD are R140 each

Thanks for your help...got prepaid axxess account and tested it last night..works great.
 
How do you get it to DL on local? I had to get an extra 1gb international from Axxess because it stopped downloading when my international ran out on the Telkom account :(

You should still be awake at 1:00 playing games, what is wrong with you....hahaha....only kidding, but it happens :D

But seriously, I'm sure you can get up at 6:00 or 5:00 if you really wanted to on weekends :D

I've read Worms online is broken at the moment so I'll put that one on hold.
Dude I'm up for WipeoutHD anytime. Always been a fan of the series, I was shocked that it was just 1.04GB and yet its so beautiful!
Just send me a message to drag me away from Fallout 3 :p
 
DL'd NOBY NOBY BOY over the long weekend and maaaaan, is that a weird game. Kind of relaxing in a way, but definitely waaaay weird in its concept.
 
Meh, chastised for the promo copy thing at that forum Solidus ............ how the hell am I gonna find someone who wants that game. I'll have to bust it.

And the best part about Wipeout HD is that online is velvet smooth, this is how all online games should be programmed. :)

In addition to the post on How to play PS2 ISOs on a ps3 on NTSC/JAP PS3s here is one for PAL systems! Again, Use at your own risk, we at ps3-hacks / Dashhacks Inc. cannot take responsibility if you damage your ps3 with this tutorial. Remember, we will not tell you were to get ISOs from… Let’s continue now…

What you need:

* Swap Magic 3.6+/3.8(Purchase here) (Must be actual copy, burned copies do NOT work).
* Launch PS3 PAL PS2 (60gb units)
* Flash Drive (PSP in USB MODE will also work).

1. Download the USBAdvance Tutorial File Pack [PAL].
2. Extract the contents of the folder USBADVANCE to the root of your flash drive.
3. Place the Playstation 2 ISO’s of your choice to your external HDD/flash drive. You need to have them properly formmated and copied over via USBUtil(is included in file you downloaded above). If you are not sure how to do this, there is a quick tutorial that guides you through the process. Make sure your USB/Flash drive is plugged into your PS3.
4. Boot up SWAPMAGIC and once loaded into the menu screen, people who are using swapmagic v3.6 press UP (on D-Pad)+L2 on your PS3 controller to browse through your flash drive. People that are using Swapmagic v3.8 go to the SMBOOT menu and select uLaunch from there. In the pack provided uLaunch is SMBOOT1. Go to configure, select any button you want (I usually use X or O), go to MISC and select FILEBROWSER binding it to the selected button, go down and hit ok. Now go to the browser. If you are unable to view your flash drive, then it is not compatible (use another one).
5. USB Loader should start running now. And there you have it, if you followed this tutorial properly you should see the Playstation 2 ISO’s there and just click and launch
