With the Annoucement from Samsung, here are the official specs of the Note II

I am a current owner of the Original Note and I am super excited for this update.

One of the features that caught my attention is the added s-pen functions and the rubberize tip.

I reckon that this device will have clothing manufactures increasing the standard pocket size of all their clothing to accomodate this great device :D
 
Looks very very nice. My update is due in 2 weeks, but i think i will hold on and wait for this one.

Any idea what the price will be? And can Vodacom catch a wake-up and get this, the other providers are already confirming this and they have not yet given a date or anything.
 
If I'm not mistaken, Vodacom launching the Note 2 on Wednesday, with the first handsets expected to hit the stores on 6th October... Well, according to their Facebook Page....
 
Went to Vodaworld today, they are saying on the website it is available today. And guess what, waste of time, they are now saying next week maybe. They haven't got a clue, so don't hold your breath.

Ignore their website, things on there are unofficial it seems and Facebook... well who knows.
 
hahaha i love it when the marketing team can make up whatever they like about product arrivals. The poor store guys have no idea what is actually on their sites...
 
Anyone know whether the Samsung store in Canal Walk will be stocking it?
 
If I remember correctly, their Facebook site said that it will be in certain stores from 6 October..... Today is the 3rd.... Don't expect any new Notes in any shop guys, try Saturday/Sunday....
 
This is one great phone! It is my first android device and may not be my last. Loving it.

I think I will wait till the LTE version is released and then get the Note 2

If you are able to wait for the LTE version and don't need a phone right now do so. I must be honest, the HSPA+ is blisteringly fast and it picks up the HSPA+ signal all over the place. Most often when I look at the phone it has a H+ showing.
 
Well I currently have the original Note and agree that HSPA+ is very fast and coverage is good. So I would rather wait to have that piece of extra tech added and then get the Note 2 when it arrives here so that it can get even faster!! So i can use my 300mb data bundle in 10seconds :P
