Fairweather could have been drunk from the suite, hence the reason his mother had to come pick him up.

The traffic officer acted in self defense.
 
In the section on political views, it said: “Ultra Rightwing Conservative”.

And under his “bio” it said: “Politically, offensively conservative and care more for animals than I do for the self-inflicted suffering of the indiscriminately fornicating black masses. I believe in the death penalty and a birth control pill that lasts for 10 years.”

His Facebook information said he was expelled from Rondebosch Boys’ High in 1978 and matriculated from Abbotts College.

Actually my condolences goes to the traffic officer. Definitely an act of self defense (albeit with probably too much force).
 
wow last night I heard about this and was in rage that a cop could do this... now I know the full story! :rolleyes:

The precedent was set when a certain rugby player beat a cop to death with his bare hands, now the cops will shoot first and ask questions later, unfortunately (im not discussing the details around that case, just the outcome).
If Fairweather was beating the guys head on a car, I dont blame him for defending himself. Judging from the facebook extracts the guy was an idiot anyway & had no respect for certain people.
 
I suppose the traffic officer was a "man of colour" hence his FB postings making it into the article.

Anyway the man deserves a Darwin Award.

What utter BS , here the world thinks SA is a violent place and prominent cricket officials are killed at the games while in the meantime it looks as if it is a case of a racist prick attacking an officer of the law being killed in self defense. Someone mentioned the rugby player who killed the cop last year and I agree , the officer being beaten up probably feared for his life , I would act the same.

The other question is if all this is true and judging by his crap FB status and remarks why is this idiot in charge of a under age cricket team ? He publicly showed and shared his dislike for the "indiscriminately fornicating black masses". This remark alone makes me think he is a ******* and I question what goes on at WP cricket to have a guy like him in charge of anything

I hear the cop was manhandling the women, which explains the defence. You can't just start firing off multiple shots in a public place. He could have run off. Cops in that vicinity are hyper-aggressive as I have found out myself.

I hear what you saying but there is a huge diffs between my location is Mars and "indiscriminately fornicating black masses" , one don't joke publicly about your political veiws especially if its filled with hatred towards other ethnic groups.

Re shooting in public , yes u are very correct , probably why the officer was arrested as well , that I suppose is the other scary part of this whole matter, that a man lost his life over parking and he was shot by a officer of the law. Such a waste in the end , more than 1 families lifes affected.

Well you can hardly say that just explains it when you don't seem to really know the full circumstances. How long after the cop manhandles his mother do you keep beating the guy up and smashing his head into the car. He wouldn't have been manhandling anyone by that stage. I can see that the cop is hardly innocent here, but it sounds like two aggressive personalities that don't exactly like each other met. The Fairweather guy sounds like a typical agro racist prick though.

The Facebook profile is pretty damn clear in what it says and not a joke.

He made the profile so its pretty much exactly how he feels.

Just goes to show... be careful what you put on FB because after you die, some things you might have said in jest, will be taken as your true words.

I also heard that the gun was his own and this is not the first time this has happened.
As much as I am annoyed by a lot of pigs the poor metro was just trying to do his job.

Erm I think that was only 1 guy out of like 20 posts defending the cop once the extra details came out. But I'm sure more will come, you're just ahead of the times. :p

When I read his facebook profile excerpts in the paper this morning I also thought he'd find support on MyBB. Especially seeing as a racist pig killed him!
