Official Super Rugby Thread 2012

This game is so boring that I have decided to rather do Windows Updates.

At least there is something happening and I have a progress bar to look at!

Agreed, but not as boring as the game I'm watching. Heineken quarters recorded last week, Edinburgh vs Touloise. Was a good tight competitive game at 26 minutes, then Nigel Owens dishes out 2 preposterous yellow cards and once again the ref spoils the spectacle. Personally so f ucking sick of it!!!!...

I watched that game live and thought WTF! - yellow card per infringement???

Hell man, famous victory for the Scottish club in the end. Chuffed for them.

Nigel needs to calm down with the cards, he's a trigger happy sob.

Ruined the rwc semi finals and came close to doing the same here.

And now they are off to face Ulster... Ruan Pienaar, Johan Muller, Stefan Terblanche, Pedrie Wannenburg, etc !!

Can't wait for the Cheetahs v Chiefs game! Cheetahs are definitely my favourite side after the Stormers! :)

Now just waiting for the Stormers to buy Goosen! :D

Dont understand why the bulls bought goosen when they have hougaardt.pity one of them is not at the stormers.missing link imo.

Two tries now the Cheetahs have just stood and watched them score when they are right on the line ........ white line cowards?

Credible performance from the Cheetahs. Looking at the team sheets prior to kick off there is no ways one could expect the Cheetahs to win this. Those Chiefs are frigging MONSTERS!!!

Anyway, they took all their chances and defended stoically. Powerful team. Haven't really watched them much this season but they appear to be the real deal and I would expect them to be in the semi's come the end of the tournament...

Bulls haven't collected cleanly once from their kick and chase tactic. Tactically naive??

/Curses the Stormers...

Yes I feel for them, 2 locks off with injury a third sin binned for a non dangerous tackle (although the ref also send a crusader off for the same thing). That can not help your cause when playing the Crusaders at hom.

Crap game, 1st half was mildly entertaining, 2nd half bollocks....

+1. But I take it that the Bulls just wanted to win this with four tries with the least bit of contact / Injury / effort, as their overseas tour starts next weekend.

Good victory for the Bulls. They were just too physical for the Lions.

Jacques Potgieter did a great job as battering ram. CJ Stander was amazing as was JJ Engelbrecht and Juandre Kruger. Going to be difficult for Deon Stegmann, Johan Sadie and Flip vd Merwe to get their places back when the guys are playing like that.

Morne Steyn's up and unders were spot on but the rest of his game was off. And it is not the first time this season. Goosen, Lambie and Grant must be backing themselves for the Bok jersey.

Bad news is that Dewald Potgieter has probably done his hammy and will be out for about 6 weeks again.

Just something we overheard from the photographers who went through the player tunnel after the game. But I think things are starting to fall apart for the Lions.

Apart from another two serious injuries (Stephan Greeff and Marius Coetzer) it also seems to be some coming apart at the edges for the team spirit.

Apparently John Mitchell kukked some of the players out so badly after the game that one of them started crying and another just left.

I was wondering when this would happen.

Mitchell, like any other coach, is probably rated on performance of the team. It doesn't help that the team keeps losing their best players to injury. Mitchell is looking frustrated and if the Lions do not make the S15 next year, I sincerely doubt he will be there any longer than the end of the Currie Cup.

But this is a huge ouch for the Lions (my second team) and I am feeling quite desperate for them, especially after such an awesome win the in the CC final (over my first team) last year.

Seeing as I am not on the rest of the site as much as I use to be, and the Sports section is where I spend most of my time....

Who here does not have a MyBB T-shirt as I already have one and I am being gifted another.

I hope that the SA sides can all take a win this weekend as that will make the rest of the S15 a lot more of an open race.

The Sharks imo have the highest mountain to climb as the Chiefs have looked like the form team in the Super Series thus far.

Wonder who the surprise victory will come from this weekend....
