...away game.

O..... K.......

Don't forget that the Bulls and Hurricanes played eachother last week at Loftus. Both had to travel back to Australasia this week. That always has an influence. Force played at home last week and The Sharks played in NZ.

Glad The Sharks won though. :)

Ja, it is always difficult to travel from SA to the NZ and play again. Hope the SA teams can go on with their good form. I hope the Cheetahs would have beaten the Reds but you can't have everything going your way.

Bizkit87, you might want to get in touch with Jon Cardinelli at Keo.co.za as he appears to also be criticising the Bulls recent performances..... and that appears to be a no no with some of you.

Some say defence is the Bulls’ Achilles Heel, but this statement did not apply to the Pretoria side in Perth. Achilles was, after all, only vulnerable at the heel. On Saturday, the Bulls made so many mistakes and looked decidedly mortal. You wouldn’t have believed they were Super Rugby title holders. The criticism is fair is you consider how inconsistent the Force were.
Most will point to the Perth scoreboard and a 2010 record that reads six from six, but the Bulls will realise that an inconsistent performance like Saturday’s will be punished by the top teams. There’s plenty to do if they hope to build on their great start to the campaign.

So it's not only me...

Oh, and as an aside :

Pienaar’s kicking and maturity in general play over the last two weeks has been impressive, and he’s played a massive part in their two wins against Kiwi opposition.
But Pienaar stepped up, and the much-maligned player silenced his doubters.

The Force didn't even score a try so I fail to see why Lance is lambasting the Bull's performance. Yes they did look average at times, but one can expect that from a team that has just started their tour. If Morne had kicked all his penalties, it would've been 40-15 and nobody would be complaining ;) (Btw, I'm a Stormers supporter, I don't have alliances to any of the other SA teams)

This entire discussion did not start as a result of anyone "lambasting" the Bulls performances but merely as a result of an observation by myself that "the Sharks are improving week by week... the Bulls are getting worse and worse... interesting times ahead.". That is all I said. The resultant responses were along the lines of "dude, you are becoming a joke...." and "now you are just sad..."

I think yesterday's performance, and the subsequent comments by journalists in the know, substantiates my observation!

Interesting that you mention the number of kicks missed by Steyn as this was apparently always a given. But I do not doubt that he will be given the benefit of one bad performance whereas other players are hung out to dry when they have an average game.

Interesting to note that you have now edited your comments to be directed straight at me. This makes you even less accurate than your were initially as I fail to see where I personally did any lambasting. You obviously lead a sheltered, daddy's little boy life, if you regard what I said as a lambasting.

I will try to find an email address for Jon Cardinelli so you can air your grievances with him about lambasting the poor Bulls.

The reason I changed it was because I was reading your link and the subsequent comments on the article but realised that when I make a comment on MyBB, I am talking about people on MyBB rather than a wider audience. You're the only one I think in this thread who thinks that the Bulls are on a downward trend.

Quite different from lambasting their performances I'd say.... and further to this if you look purely at the final scores prior to yesterday's game they were on a distinct downward trend (it is not just my perception) so I fail to see the problem?!?

I hope for the sake of all you Bulls supporters that the players and management are not as satisfied with their recent performances as you appear to be and they rather work on the cracks that are appearing, for the sake of SA rugby as a whole.

difference is, at least he gave reasons other than "their winning margin is declining", which you gave, which is one of the worst reasons ever, and indicates that you know nothing....

i previous said, i don't care if you criticize the bulls, there is nothing wrong with that, but FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD AND PURE, please don't ever give this "margin" reasoning... its ridiculous.

so, i say again: no issue with you criticizing the bulls, not at all, but give better reasons than "winning margin is decreasing", ok now?

ps, glad the sharks won. they looked better,

Prior to your attack and references to me being sad and a joke I made no mention of reasons for my observation, which was just that, merely an observation. I feel you are now trying to use my use of the declining winning margin as your escape clause for your unprovoked attack!

No issue with me criticizing the Bulls? Ha ha ha that is the biggest joke on here. Let's recap events as they unfolded shall we? So what was it I said that was so insulting again? Oh yes....

The Sharks are improving week by week....
The Bulls are getting worse and worse....

Interesting times ahead.

Damn, I can see how that was so offensive. Now that is it. Prior to any further comments from myself these are the sorts of responses it illicited.

:wtf:

dude, you are becoming a joke....

i used to think you are just a passionate shark supporter, but still able to debate and be sensible

now you are just sad...

first time I've seen someone call a team that wins 5 on the trot that they are getting worse :wtf:

why are they getting worse? elaborate please?

Not sure that sort of response was really justified? It appears someone is just a wee bit defensive of their little bulletjies. And you guys still wonder where the brandy drinking, khaki wearing, nine months pregnant looking, trouble causing reputation that Bulls supporters have comes from?

Let us apply some Lance logic (tm)

The bulls winning margin decreased every week till this weekend. Thus we have gone through the bad patch and since or PD in this weekends victory was 13 I take it we are now on the positive slope of the "Form" graph.

The sharks however:

18-19 (-1 PD)
25-20 (-5 PD)
35-06 (-29 PD)
25-21 (-4 PD)
24-22 (-2 PD)
16-30 (+14 PD)
26-29 (+3 PD)

Thus the sharks hit peak form last week according to Lance logic and will now continue to "lose" form.

and why were the bulls looking weaker and weaker... what was the reason you gave for that?

Wooohoooo can not wait for this weekend's rugby :D

Hope the bulls can pull off their 7th win in a row for this season.

Can also not wait to see how the stormers perform.

Who has a by this weekend?

Ja, hope the Stormers win with a bonus point. I don't see the Bulls loosing, the did look shaky for a bit, but they are too good to throw it away.
