So close yet so far.

A drop-goal in extra time sealed the deal for the Force.

Didn't look like the Stormers were there to play in a competitive fashion, unfortunately.

True - looked lethargic.

Ja, hope the Stormers win with a bonus point. I don't see the Bulls loosing, the did look shaky for a bit, but they are too good to throw it away.

Oops, you better be careful there are some very sensitive Bulls fans on here who will take major offence to you suggesting their team is not the best team ever to walk the earth in any sport!

I ALWAYS usually shout for all the South African teams but I have on occasion secretly hoped the Bulls lose just to shut their arrogant fans up... this is one of those times.

Jealousy makes you nasty:p

In the end, Dickinson secured the award by a comfortable margin. Skew lineout throws, forward passes and illegal play at the breakdown didn’t seem to bother this official. Dickinson waved play on, and although the Force suffered on occasion, the Stormers usually received the short end of the stick.

Haha, when the Sharks get cheesed at ref decisions, they are lambasted but other teams can also do it lambaste free

haahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha. Try shutting up yourself - that would be a more successful approach to keeping us quiet.

As stated in that post you responded to, no body dare say anything about the Bulls performances for fear of getting shot down. I forgot the brotherhood, sorry that should probably be broederbond, of the Bulls fans dictates that only good things can be said about the Balletjies.

I'm eagerly awaiting the first yellow card for the Bulls here. It is ridiculous how much they infringe in the ruck and mauls.

EDIT : Oh, look at that a warning as I type this!

:wtf: Have the Bulls as yet had a non SA ref .... I see even when they play on tour they have SA refs.

Bulls need to pull finger and string some phases together, they're looking way too fractious.

Bulls have lost the plot. And now the game as well.

EDIT: And now no bonus point either.

The Bulls supporters are probably going to blame the ref which if they do, would be rather ironic considering their stance a few weeks on the Sharks issue. They were getting nailed every time at the break-down. Also it was interesting to note (well from when I watched - beginning of 2nd half) that the Blues were doing well against the infamous rolling maul of the Bulls.

Ag come now. Be the better man.

The Blues were brilliant today. They ran in between defenders and not direct. Made sure to get extremely quick ball and capitalised on the Bulls' poor discipline.
They stopped the Bulls from playing rugby today. Disrupted their line-out, mauls and put lots of pressure on the wings' defence.

Provincialism in the myBB rugby thread never disappoints...

Only because it is a deliberate tactic of theirs to infringe in an attempt to slow the opposition ball down. Did you notice how after the warning they were all of a sudden well behaved at ruck and maul time and it was only well into the second half that they again infringed?

It is a Super 14 thread , not a Springbok thread, so why would you expect there not to be provincialism?

Sorry to disappoint but we cannot blame the ref - blue blood, not shark fin. We can blame butter fingers in Wynand and poor discipline and several bad decisions. It was not the fans or the refs or the tv commentators. Of course, we can be adult about because even with a loss (not the royal flush of losses our friends further south have) we remain TOP OF THE LOG....
