It is a Super 14 thread , not a Springbok thread, so why would you expect there not to be provincialism?

Oh by all means. Go ahead... I just said it never disappoints. So revel in the fact that you think your little statement there is right. Perhaps it is. I for one hope part of it's right. Really like to see the reds get nailed this afternoon... then you can quote it again tommorow morning.

Sorry to disappoint but we cannot blame the ref - blue blood, not shark fin. We can blame butter fingers in Wynand and poor discipline and several bad decisions. It was not the fans or the refs or the tv commentators. Of course, we can be adult about because even with a loss (not the royal flush of losses our friends further south have) we remain TOP OF THE LOG....

So is it only those of us who don't wear blue that can see the total contradiction in that sentence? To say "we can be adult" and then go "nah nah nah nah"

So, please tell me, am I now allowed to make comments about the Bulls getting "worse and worse" or does a loss still not illustrate that they are not nearly as dominant as they were at the start of the season?

Dude, the whole point is that it was merely an observation made by me two weeks ago (which has subsequently been shown to be accurate). It would have remained merely an observation if the bloody Bulls **** on here had not taken offence to me daring to insinuate that their team was anything other than 200% better than any other team ever! The fact that such a big deal was made out of it is what is making me now bring it up repeatedly in an "I told you so" manner.

Only because it is a deliberate tactic of theirs to infringe in an attempt to slow the opposition ball down. Did you notice how after the warning they were all of a sudden well behaved at ruck and maul time and it was only well into the second half that they again infringed?

Well they didn't learn their lesson - a Bulls player did get a yellow card for their millionth infringement at the break-down :D

@Gregorgy: And you wonder (or maybe it was Devil) why some South Africans don't support the Bulls when playing against non-South African teams?

I'm not targeting you alone here. But I got to say the fact that you posted your "I told you so" message one second after the game doesn't really count for your own credibility... which you seem to think is noble and unbiased. It reminds me of sport24 commenters tbh. Like I said... lets hope you're right and the Sharks can make a comeback into semi-final territory.

@chris, all black capetonian much?

Um, that made absolutely no sense! Please explain in English.

When exactly is someone supposed to say "I told you so"? Before the result of the match is known? How exactly does that work? I stated TWO WEEKS ago that the Bulls were not looking good and seemed to be getting "worse and worse".

This is a good time for the Bulls to lose. Usually it's a wake up call and allows them to start working on getting momentum for the final games.

The Super 14 is not won this time of the tournament (but many times lost) - sometimes you win it after full time in the final as many Shark supporters will wish to forget. :D

The Bulls did lose 3 times last year before winning the tournament last year so I wouldn't be too stressed if I were a Bulls fan to be honest.

Time for 80 minutes biased commentary again.

Haha. They've actually got the Ref hooked up to the PA system.

Why is it that a Waratah can pick up the ball while on his knees and have people bound from behind, then push past the Cheetah's for a try yet the Lions get blown up for the same thing even though the guy was on his feet?

Nice one Sharks. The only South African team to win over the weekend (which is not so good for the country but great as a Sharks fan)

Also saw that and made the same comment!

Not an impressive display from the Sharks at all, but a win nonetheless. They will have to pick up the game hugely if they want to progress into the top 4.

No doubt they can improve further but I have seen the excuse offered for other teams that returning to SA after a long tour can prove to be tiring and result in a loss. Considering this a win is a great result. And we are getting closer to the four try bonus point.

Again I will say that the Sharks are heading the right direction as this Super 14 progresses. We were 21-9 down at one stage and I'm sure many a fan from the other South African teams had written them off already at that stage, the come back was great.

I uncare (yes, it is a made-up word because none exists to describe the opposite end of caring I am prepared to feel) about who other South Africans support. I truly do. With all my heart. If you look back a few pages, you will see me shouting "GO BRUMBIES...." and M_H expressing his utter disgust at how I (or any SA person) can do that. He was remarkably quiet about Lance's call for the Blues yesterday. But myself, I uncare. And being an arrogant BULL, I at least have a full trophy cabinet to show for my uncaring.

Ahh, there we go again with that "adult" behaviour you were bragging about earlier.

At least I have the sense to shout for an opposition team that actually wins it's game. And don't try and put me in the same corner as you. I clearly stated that it pains me to support any team other than a South African team but felt pushed into that position by the exact type of comments presented by you with this post.

The fall from a pedestal can often be a painful one.

Wow - I am good! Somehow I managed to push you to do something that pains you. Super Powerful Greg manages to force lance to support the blues. Fall from a pedestal? Jeeez - were you dropped on your head as a child????

Not a good week for the south african teams. Hope we can pull ourselves together next weekend
