For me personally the player that contributed the most to his team in the EPL this seasons has to be Van dar Sar. Saved United's too many times to count.

Defenders/Keepers are greatly undervalued when it comes to these kind of (stupid) awards. To pick an overall player of the season is ridiculous. How do you compare a strikers performance with that of a goalkeeper, midfielder or defender. Its all very subjective.

So? Since VdV arrived, Modric has been consigned to the quarterback role, more or less.. He's not gonna score/directly assist from there a lot, but he makes that Spurs side tick.
