Official Vox DSL feedback thread

I tested with mobile and iptv streamings works. Only the "vox" not streaming. Bear in mind that the other apps and pages does work when using vox.
Between 6 and 7 tonight the iptv streaming on vox started to work.
Thank you Vox.

thanks, still having issues since friday , it seems to be congestion related (during the day pings are 21ms , they start getting eratic after 7pm 100ms + and then pings dont work after 8pm , but can still browse content sometimes - bizarre, no fix yet from vox.

okay just tried with an axxess dsl account and everything works , so must be vox related - calling call center again now

I'm having the same issue. For the past few nights, from around 7pm til 10pm VOX is totally unusable. Called the call center, but they are totally clueless or don't seem to care. They keep blaming openserve, but when switching to axxess or web africa problem goes away.

Attached is my smokeping graph, getting around 10% packet loss to google dns.

I don't see any packet loss. Maybe the path is different from Openserve ADSL vs Openserve fibre?

on dsl ,feedback from vox now is that its a telkom issue for the sandton area.... , but then why is axxess working 100% ? :S

I'm not sure but I'm in Centurion on Openserve fibre 200Mbps without any issues. Openserve fibre uses the same routes and ipc as adsl so if it was congestion on ipc or international transit I would have noticed it too but it seems fine on my side. Maybe packetloss on your adsl line?

thanks for checking - 100% ping success currently on axxess data adsl account , my vox account isn't pinging at all or really poorly -bizarre , also the sandton exchange is heavily under subscribed, lets see how this unfolds

SMS Notice from Vox this AM
"Vox Notice: Telkom ADSL & FTTH Services. Sandton. Customers may experience problems with no internet breakout during peak evening periods. Telkom engineers are currently attending. Further feedback to follow. "

Vox seem to be having issues. 111ms to JHB speedtest servers and speeds struggling to reach 200Mbps.

I'm also experiencing packet loss from CPT area to Jhb CS:GO server:
Code:

Have access, but all Google services are completely dead. Phoned support and got into an argument about resetting equipment we do not have on site ("looks like a DSTV decoder with blinking lights"... I explain why we don't have their standard equipment: "no sir, it's definitely there, please look under the table"... I try explain again, he insists it exists (it does not). So eventually we come to a compromise; reset everything, which of course drops the voip call, and they've not called back and I don't expect them to. God.

yeah its not completely offline, certain services are working. Nothing google related works though so if you are using their DNS you are screwed. MyBB working but super slow.
Certain websites are working perfectly though so its definitely isolated.
