How do one invest in gold. Buy some gold and put it where?

there are vaults with insurance, and if you do take delivery remember all the gold ever mined can fit in 3 swimming pool

so your entire networth won't be that big in terms of physical gold

one Krugerrand is R30 000 at the moment, so 100 coins would be R3m already

So you put them also in a vault, what do you pay to keep it there.
May I ask, say I bought 1 a few years back, how do I sell it. Who will buy it.

Nice info-bit.

If an Olympic-sized swimming pool has a volume of 2.5 million liters, then we divide and get our answer. So we would need 3.27 swimming pools to hold the entire global supply of gold, which some argue is the entire amount of gold mined since before the Egyptians began mining gold before 2000 BC

You may access your safe deposit box as frequently as you would like at no additional cost.
  • A. Width: 214mm. Height: 88mm. Length: 445mm. R325 pm incl VAT.
  • B. Width: 214mm. Height: 104mm. Length: 445mm. R450 pm incl VAT.
  • C. Width: 214mm. Height: 130mm. Length: 445mm. R645 pm incl VAT.
  • D. Width: 214mm. Height: 260mm. Length: 445mm.

Looks like they know what people are going to use it for:

I don't know all the details, gold is not something that I'm that interested in, but Peter Schiff discusses it quite a bit, the storage costs are minimal and Peter Schiff's spread costs are also very low, its not as prohibitive as you may think.

He also talks of a jewellery place that will buy your jewellery back, at a higher price than what you bought it for.

Useless fact for the day...gold is 19.30 times as dense as water. Therefore an Olympic swimming pool with a volume of 2.5 million litres will weigh 48.25 million kilograms when filled with gold. Let's hope that the pool foundation is properly reinforced for this hypothetical scenario ;)

So my Starling Bank (UK) account is safe from the thieves?

Up to £85,000 goverment protection for every account.
Note, multiple accounts at same bank do not apply.
Spread your monies across mutliple Banks if you are concerned.

P.S Used to be 50k, was recently increased, unsurprisingly given the amount of failed banks/ administrations globally in recent years( que my above posts)

It's also tricky getting gold out of the country, apparently it doesn't pass for pistachio nuts as easily as diamonds do

Monzo ...just have a adress in uk

This is bad advice. You are required to be a UK resident to open the account. Monzo are well known for freezing accounts - it's not worth the risk when there are alternatives for people who aren't UK resident.
