Ok, So, I got guitar hero (YES!!!! w00t!), any way, then go to my sisters surprise B-day party, lots of fun, when I get home, It's raining harder then it has in weeks, and there's lightening and such, I the first thing i do it is go to unplug everything, but just then there's a loud crack, and the power trips. after a couple of minutes of profuse swearing, I go and put up the main, only to see that the plugs where my Ps3 and tv are plugged in has tripped. OH F****!!!!
so I dash to my beloved ps3 and (I put those plugs on) I noticed the tv is alright, so I thought I got it lucky, but then I noticed the little red light is off...

yes, it was only my ps3 that had gotten nailed! crap, all my game saves, all my demo's, gone, no wait, I'll just take out the HHD :D(score)

OH s**t! no! It can't be,MY GUITAR HERO DISK IS IN THE PS3!!!!!!!!

dammit, can I just not get a break today.

so any one know how I can get my disk out of my ps3? is there any 80 gb ps3's around (I aint getting no 40gb ps3,)

plz plz plz, I really need to get this disk out, I was going to send the ps3 to the guys in midrand, but I heard things go missing such as disks in the machine, etc...

Press and hold the eject button on the console for at least 15 seconds. It will force it to eject. Keep holding it if need be.
The same thing happened to me 3 weeks after I got my PS3 (Dec 06). I held the eject button for almost a full minute but it did finally eject.

but if there's no light, doesn't that mean that there's no power, or the circuits have been burnt out?

Does the PS3 use a tray or car headunit type system? If it's the former, try to gently pry the drive tray open?

Perhaps a pair of needlenose pliers, or tweezers?

Maybe if you take it to the local agent yourself, instead of through the place you bought it they can, uh, "be reminded" to save the disc.
