Hey guys. What's done is done. I think we should all stop crying about it now (nov issue) and move on...

What's next?

As you were...

Hi Jack

I don't think anyone will just "accept it" and "stop crying abt it", that's why we here in the first place right :P

We will keeping moaning and crying, shouting, swearing (if that suit anyone) or whatever it need to be done until stupid TELKOM start listening.

Move on to what? Another shafting by Telkom?

As Bwana said, how typically South African.

No, not typical South African. We can moan our asses off, and will continue to do so until Telkom lisen.
So for everyone going on about anything being "typical South African", if you dont like it get the f*** out of here as it's a site for typical South African's.

SH1,,,,,,, I think you missing the point Dude we all on the same side here I hope

Yeah we are on the same side, and I dont agree with Jack Goa at all, and the point is pretty obvious. I'm just getting sick of these people that, everytime someone say something silly (they dont agree with) they get branded as typical South African. I'm typical South African, and proud of it, are'nt you?

I thought it was typically South Africa to moan as much as you can and not take any action. Just look at the people at your work.

Well, I see this forum as being Typical South African, and from what I can read, we can pretty much moan as good as anyone out there, accepts maybe the Brits

Exactly - how many people here have actually done something besides moan a bit? Who's cancelled their ADSL? Who's even bothered to email ICASA? But hey - if its not worth making a sacrifice for then maybe you deserve what you get. Grease up your brown-eye cos you're in for a long life of getting shafted.

Ok, I emailed ICASA, I complained to Telkom, I have lodged a complaint with the Advertising Standards Bureau about Telkom's blatant lies in the press and on TV. Do I get a noddy badge now?

Tracey

I forgot, I NEED ADSL to run my business so should I just cancel it and go out of business to make a point? Get real!

ok ok...maybe it's typically south african when consumers get shafted by corporates and the government sees nothing wrong with it and let it pass.

Asking ppl to cancel ADSL will not be viable. Either way consumers still get shafted.

It's a good thing that ppl like us moan and complain coz then someone will actually notice. Though, action is not guranteed but we do need to voice or opinions. Someday..in the future..these complaints and concerns will bear fruit.

Yes you guys do moan a **** load, but unlike the Brits (of whom I happen to be one) when something crap like this happens, Saffers moan and bitch, but say 'oh well theres nothing that can be done, Telkom is a monoploy, where else would you keep your money (on bank charges issues)

I was in Scotland a few years back when banks tried to introduce atm charges for their own customers and there was an almightly stink and they had to drop the idea. Can you see that happening here? It would be 'bitch bitch bitch ,oh well lets move on...'

Bitch and moan as much as you like, but don;t do it for the sake of bitching, make some effort to correct the fault.

It's 'cause of Myadsl bitching and moaning, but ACTIVELY doing something about it that there is any action at all!

Maybe I should have been clearer. I missed where the heading to this forum said, complaints. Each thread you go into it's moaning about the prices of ISP's.
Yeah it's ****, I hate it, I've complained my complaint, grieved my grieve, now towards the future. What do we do now?
Anyone have any news about what might be happening in January?
Has any ISP's given feedback on what their clientbase are doing? Maybe it's to early to for them to tell.
Any way around the problem?

Don't concentrate on the problem, instead on the solution, and don't give me any of that cancel ADSL crap. Some of us make a living from this service so it's not as simple as that..
Change to IS, yes, fine, three months down the line the pendulum swings the other way again, then everyone runs and joins SAIX!!
Ndifuna e-solution! or a way around it.

@schitz11 and that was exactly what i meant.
