Coming back to the "how is it" question...
Frankly I'm disappointed, the PvE content is so easy now the whole game feels like a bit of a noobfest.
I've been to Vashj and Kael'thas after the patch when some people realised that you can still get the Hand of A'dal title if you have the old quest in your quest log.
These bosses are now so easy that we dropped both in one night even though we had a terrible PUG group.
Do the math...
Blizzard almost doubled some classes' dps output
They reduced all instance mobs' HP by 30%
Encounters that used to take more than 10 minutes are now over before 3 minutes.
The top-end raiding guild on our server were working on M'uru before the patch.
They've been stuck there for months.
Two days after the patch they dropped both M'uru and KJ.
Even they said that although the nerf was necessary, it really shouldn't have been 30%.
Zul'aman can be 5-manned and I'm sure we'll see groups smaller than 5 clearing Attumen pretty soon.
So its all great, and we can all get drunk and spank bosses is if they're no more difficult than Hogger, but boredom sets in pretty quickly now that there are no challenges left.
I think Blizz is too scared about WAR, and they tried so hard to please the masses that they may just end up achieving the opposite.
I'm not sure what I'll be doing the next three weeks.
WoW in its current form is fun for a short time and then it just becomes boring.
Blizz already indicated that they want WotLK raids to be "easier" than TBC, lets just hope they don't mean this easy...!
