(Follows from previous thread..)

This friend (chick) and my friend had been going out for 7 years.
Broke up 5 months ago.

Bro code or not, it's a no-go.

What does someone like me do?

Just don't have the [insert profanity] to ask a chick I fancy, out for a cup 'o Java..
:(

Fmylife.
:(

Any suggestions? (no weirdos please)

Why did you friend break it off with her?

Bros before hos.

Give it some time, then ask your mate if he would be ok with you pursuing his ex. It's what I did in the past. He said he was cool with it, ended up dating her for a while but it ended. He's still one of my best mates.

I still don't see why you can't just ask her out? Did she say no? Did he say no? Or are you procrastinating still?

If so, just leave it. Go cry in a corner because that's more likely to get you over this and continue on with your life in the emo way you want it... just don't cut yourself please

*Any* hesitation from a guy asking a girl out shows weakness, fortunately for you she's not seeing you in this fashion (as you're already friends) but if she was a stranger you passed and you hesitated in stopping and starting to talk to her because you fancy her? .... and then went back to do so? Ha, you'd get shot down so fast MY head will spin.

But yea, continue with your "fmylife"

I can't see how people that have the ability to change the situation they're in can't make and execute the decision to do so. Nike?

And like I said, if she shoots you down, if you lose a friend over it, ****itall. You can make new friends, bone new chicks and get shot down in other ways you didn't think possible.

Just grow a pair already....

Why are your hopes dashed?

Forgive my inferences but I have read the two blog posts attached to your name as well as the things that were said in the previous thread. You seem to be a reserved, introverted type. I am the exact opposite and have often had difficulty understanding your type - the shyness, the reserve, the self control...

Is the person referred to in the blogs the same as the one under discussion or are there two or even 3 people referred to here?

If it is the same, your angst over her is just too intense and you must do yourself a favour and do something about it like ask her out now and worry about the consequences if (when) they arise.

If it is two or three people, time to take action: you seem to be on a self-destructive search for happiness where your chances are dashed by your own over-thinking before any progress is made at all. In this case, take action with the very next chick you meet and again, procrastinate the consequences. Don't worry today about what may never be tomorrow because guaranteed if you do, tomorrow you will be alone. again. carpe diem.

Bro's before ho's.

End of story. Go find yourself a ho that a bro hasn't touched and bang the s**t out of her, trust me, it helps the recovery process of getting over someone.

I've been down this road of "fmylife" , being all emo and cutting myself etc after losing my ex, it just ain't worth it. At least I got some revenge /evil laugh.

But yeah, chicks are ****ed up and that's just the way they are, you gotta learn to manipulate them and get what you want, them dump them when you're done. At least that's my motto in life for the time being..

LOL! Sound like that gay rap song on the Boondocks, "Homies over Ho's" by Gangstalicious:)

The thing is, if he doesn't ask he'll never know. But according to him it's better not knowing? How does it feel mister? Not knowing? Not having any finality?

Check this, here's the scenarios that can happen when you ask:

a) She says yes, but your friend isn't very happy about it
b) She says yes, and your friend couldn't give a **** and is happy for you two
c) She says no, your friend doesn't find out and you're still bro's
d) She says no, your friend finds out (either from her or someone else) and is pissed off with you
e) She says no, your friend finds out (either from her or someone else) and is NOT pissed off with you
f) She says yes, but after a couple of months of hot sex, she dumps you because you were just her rebound guy
g) She says yes, you have rumpety dumpety for a couple of months, she dumps you because you seem indecisive and unsure about what you should do with your life and admits she already had a couple of rebounds before you and that she'd rather have them than you.

etc etc etc

But no, it's okay, go procrastinate some more. Go cry in your emo corner (still, cutting yourself is lame btw) and never find out if this girl would have actually made you happy and things could work out or not.

In fact, I recommend you should perhaps avoid going out altogether, you never know what kind of decisions you have to make in the real world hey... just now someone asks you to pick a number between 1 and 10 and you're scared to because it might be the wrong number.

And I end with my, "Grow a pair" slogan...

1 million Zim dollars says she turns him down.
