"Old" computer system wanted for mom? :)

Hey guys,

I placed this in the classifieds but I know not everyone looks there (I am one of them) :

Does anyone know of anything? Or do you guys rather recommend getting her a bottom of the range new one? Trouble is these are about R3000, excluding the monitor, and I was hoping for something under R1000 including monitor!

About 3 weeks ago I bought my mom the following:

Standard chassis (with front panel connectors for USB and audio) with 300W PSU
Foxconn 45CMX Motherboard
Celeron M 530 1.6GHz
1GB DDR2-667MHz
Samsung DVD+/-RW

It cost around R1300-00incl

I used an old 20GB hard-drive I had, as well as an LG 15" CRT and keyboard, mouse and speakers that I had lying around.

Otherwise, check out your nearest Hospice shop. The one in Pretoria at Corner of General Louis Botha and Lynnwood has full PCs for R200-00 (R100 for case, R100 for monitor), and if you get there on the right days, they sometimes do 50% off all Electronics. Not the greatest machines ever, but they run Win98 fairly smoothly (from what I've seen)
