Old Games You still Play

What old games do you guys still play alongside New titles Like Left 4 Dead, Fallout 3 etc.

Games i'v recently reinstalled and really enjoying at the moment are :
Quake 1 (with the tenebrae graphics mod)
Spiderman The movie
X2 wolverine's revenge
SC pandora tomorrow
and thief 2

Yes the graphics on these games are dated but Im enjoying them way more than the newer games i'v recently bought.
 
Half life , counter strike 1 ,
Age of empire 1 and 2
me currently played Road rash 2 on genesis/sega
 
None, if a game is more than a year old, it's either sold or just sits there ...... I just don't get this retro gaming malarky.
 
I don't get why people feel that graphics determine the worth of a game.
 
I must admit, some old games are way more fun than new titles..
Recently my love for old arcade titles just sprouted outta nowhere.. Now i got fba4psp on my psp with titles like Bubble Bobble, Snow Bros, Mappy, etc.. These games have deep roots in my childhood.. Playing them on the way back from school at a local cafe with arcades was priceless.
 
I wish I could play Carmageddon again. Had some great fun.
Recently played M.D.K again. But not for very long
 
had a go at nfs undercover again.... those cops are so damn stupid hehe!

Went really retro the other day as well and played Killer Instinct - Best game ever!

it's not the be all and all but I like to be immersed into a game as much as possible (probably why I play so many RPG's) and today's graphics help with that immersion.
 
I agree the longetivity & playability of some of the older games, in particular NES & SNES titles are awesome.

I pulled out my old NES & played Super Wonderfull Mario 5 & was amazed at how LONG it was let alone how MUCH there was to do in the game.

Then I had to give Contra a go & I couldnt put that down for ages. I'm loving Wonderboy, Chip & Dales Rescue Rangers, Street Fighter 2, Shinobi, Double Dragon 3, Turtles.

I'm trying to get my old Megadrive to work & cant wait to give Mortal Kombat, Road Rash, Time Cop & Jurrasic Park a go. :D

On PC, I have the old Sierra Classics which I love, Space & Kings Quest are brilliant.
 
Haven't played any games recently, but I have some classics including Thief 1 and 2, as well as Alpha Centauri. Boy, that particular game just doesn't let go. It gets really nuts sometimes.

I have to agree, doiong retro is sometimes tough, especially when the graphics makes your eyes water, but one thing is for sure, the stories were much better back then.

Can anyone say System Shock 2, dark room, headphones and screaming monkeys? :D

There are rumours of an Alpha Centauri 2...Firaxis have said that they'll develop it if EA will let them.

How I would die with happiness.

SS2 was one of the games that had me a nervous wreck at times. Only other one was F.E.A.R. Only thing Doom 3 ever gave me was nightmares cos I finished the entire game in one day.

Recently played Battlezone 2 with my brother. It has an interesting coop mode. One player is commander and is in charge of building and supplies. The rest are pilots and can get their own units to command.
 
I've been playing quite a bit the games on my older console systems, in particular my Sega Genesis and Sega CD. Some really great games there that I had collected over the years. Busy now with 'Snatcher' which I rate as one of the best adventure type games on any system. It was made by Hideo Kojima who went on to make the Metal Gear Solid series of games.

The pic below is of some of my Sega related stuff, including the Genesis, Power Base Converter, Sega CD, Sega 32x, Sega CDX, Nomad, Game Gear, Master Gear Converter, a few conrollers, Sega Mega Mouse, and a bunch of games.
