Old Tv Programs/OLD Favourites

i have an old cartoon series that i can never remember

Used to come on k-tv on saturday mornings ... was similar to beast wars in that you have a good faction and an evil faction with alot of characters ... but instead of 3d it used to be a normal 2d cartoon ... and they had similar abilities

can't remember much of it except that the main bad guy was always in a cloak covered up and was only revealed in the last episode ... annoys me that i can't remember it

TV Series from 70's or 80's

Hi! I wish you a happy new year 2012!

I am looking for a series from 80's (?). The series was broadcast in France in 1981 under the title 'Fantome rebelle'.

Synopsis: In England in the 17th century (or 18th) a rider (style Jack O'Lantern) with a pumpkin head... an artisan (a blacksmith or a shoemaker) with a secret passage in his workshop who put a pumpkin head to fight against injustice! (against the king's soldiers?)... It is not 'Dick Turpin' neither 'Scarecrow' neither 'Sleepy Hollow'

Thank you for your help!

1. Was this an animated show or did it use real actors?
2. What do you mean by pumpkin head? Did the character put on a fake pumpkin (or real) as a disguise?
3. Do you remember any of the characters names?
4. Was this series originally French or dubbed into French from another language?
5. Was this series shown on the children's entertainment show called Récré A2 broadcast on Antenne 2?

Fantôme rebelle (the one reference I can find to it) premièred Friday night 6 November '81 on Antenne 2 as part of the Récré A2 show.

1. a British mini-series with real actors
2. yes, the hero on a black horse puts a pumpkin on his head as a mask against injustice as Dick Turpin, Robin Hood or Zorro... is an artisan shoemaker with a secret passage in his shop...
3. no memory of names or character or location... in one episode he is supposed to be dead or captured, and he delivered a pumpkin has his enemy at a mundane dinner...
4. is a British mini-series dubbed in French with very few episodes 4 or 5
5. yes, the series was broadcast in France in 1981 under the title 'Fantome rebelle' and I am looking for the original title and the name of actors.

Thanks!

I think the program you are looking for is actually an American (although set in Britain) made for TV show called "The Phantom Rebel" as part of the "NBC Special Treat" show from 1976.

Now you can go and update all those gazillion of threads you started all over the internet to find it!

I cannot take credit for finding this so if you want to thank somebody thank "YeOK" at http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=11595626&postcount=21

@ponder, Oh my God! Thanks to you, I finally have the right title of this series.
Thank you very much! I wish you a happy new year 2012!
Yours sincerely!

anyone remembered "super snuiters"? an afrikaans show about teenagers doing magic.

I'm trying to remember the title of an 80's tv series about a teenage brother and sister who solve problems using science.

Each episode ends with an animation of how the science experiment used in the programme works.

The Edison Twins?

"Each episode ends with a short animated sequence illustrating a key scientific principle demonstrated in the preceding live action story."

Some of my most memorable ones were:

Dallas - Had such a crush on Victoria Principal :p

Dynasty

Hotel - Had such a crush on Connie Sellecca :p

Spencer for Hire - Hawk was one badass cat :D

Miami Vice - Fast cars, awesome music, some of the best choreographed action scenes ever and a guest list of A rated actors who have since gone on to become some of the biggest stars in Hollywood for example: Liam Neeson, Julia Roberts, Laurence Fishburne, Jimmy Smits, Wesley Snipes, Helena Bonham Carter to name just a few ...

Family Ties - Michael J Fox in his prime

The Equalizer - Would love to watch this again!

Remington Steele

Jake and the Fatman - Loved the dog :D

Tales of the Gold Monkey

Moonlighting

Thirtysomething

Picket Fences

Millennium - Such a brilliant show!

Mike Hammer

Cheers

There does not seem to be any more of those gritty crime dramas one use to get in the 80's. These days everything is fancy and polished. Miss the seedier stuff. The German stuff was my favourite.
