Olympic Tennis

Can never write this Swiss off. Hope Murray doesn't become complacent or start getting frustrated.

3-4

Murray is a different man today. He looks like he believes in himself and with Djokovic slipping, it makes for an interesting remainder of the season...

4-5

1 R. Federer(SUI). 11,075
2 N. Djokovic(SRB). 11,000
3 R. Nadal(ESP). 8,905
4 A. Murray(GBR). 7,460

Eff this formatting, I can't get it aligned.

Am I the only one really frustrated listening with this useless commentator, I would rather have no commentary at all

He even referred to Murray hitting his club long today when a shot went over the baseline earlier

And yesterday he said something like: "Serena played so well today, it was like instead of a racquet she was using a big spanner" (I'm pretty sure I could beat Serena if she used a spanner)

As for the result, really surprising not to see Federer put up at least a fight

And I see DelPo beat Novak in straight sets for the bronze :(

Well I guess the one positive to come from this all is that we might, just might, begin to hear less and less about Michael Phelps. If I have to listen to another report about why I should love Michael Phelps I will fly over to London and murder the producer responsible.

Oh, and hello MI5 guests...:D

The English are probably gonna dirty their clothes now.

He said "what a game by Murray" for a game that Federer won.

Indeed. This commentator is absolutely pathetic. Did the same thing yesterday. Where did they get this idiot from? Not only does he sound like he's dying, but he gets things wrong a lot. Why can't they get proper commentators? Gee whiz.

I'm really happy for Murray. He played so well and has been trying for so long. It has finally happened. Well done to him. Awesome performance. With Djokovic slipping and Murray raising his game, this sure makes for an interesting end to the tennis season, especially with the US Open coming up.

Hopefully this will see a turn in Murray's career.

Thank you for tuning in. This is abzo signing off from London.
See you again in 3 weeks at Flushing Meadows.

Guess this means no sky sports news for me this week. The English can be  to listen to when they win gold. Now that it's Murray they will start talking him up for slams and probably calling for another knighting.

Murray and his partner Laura Robson have lost the Mixed Doubles Final to the Belarusians.

Well - he did finally crack it.

The Fed that is.

The score and the bits of the game I did see, showed Murray playing very well.
Fed had moments of class - but its as if the crowd and the occasion, along with the alignment of the stars, had this played out for Murray.

Glad for him as in individual, don't care for the Brits.

See that he mumbled a few words of the Anthem.
As a Scotsman, he shoulda shut up! What would Wiiliam Wallace and Rob Roy say?!

See that Piers Morgan has now been making donations of a £1000 for every gold medal winner that sings GSTQ

Yeah...

Maybe Andys luck will change when it comes to the Slams.

He should have gained a lot of confidence with this win... More especially in the manner in which he trashed the Fed.
